The villa is located 10 km south of Arezzo, the setting for Roberto Benigni's 'Life is Beautiful'. It is a city characterized by a beautiful array of architectural styles, from Etruscan ruins to the Roman amphitheatre and the Medici Fortress; there also is an international Equestrian Centre. The first weekend of each month features a popular antique fair, while two times a year the town hosts a festival called 'Joust of the Saracen,' where all citizens dress in a medieval attire. It is also well situated to day trips throughout Tuscany, including nearby Cortona (20km), Assisi, Val d'Orcia (40km), Chianti, Perugia and Lake Trasimeno, as well as Florence (80km) and Siena (60km).
Guests will have access to the whole villa and the garden outside. In case of using only one bedroom and one bathroom (and the daily spaces), we offer a reduction of the price.
Interaction with guests
We don't live in the villa, but we live 10 minutes far (so for any reason, we can be there in a very short time). We usually come twice/three times a week to water the garden and the vegetable garden, so we will probably meet! We like to know personally our guests, so if you have time, we can have a glass of wine on the terrace while chatting. But we also like to leave you your privacy, so we won't be a constant presence.
Other things to note
Electricity, gas and heating fees are not included in the rental rate and are metered on consumption. They shall be paid before your departure, after the meter reading.
From Oct 3 - 25, 2017 the minimum stay is 5 nights.
