If you're looking for a real Hawaii get away...consider our beautiful and comfortable home in Kaimuki! Our 2nd floor 3 bedroom plantation style home is located in a residential neighborhood with some Diamond Head and ocean views. We have beautiful sunny mornings, fantastic sunsets and even a double rainbow every now and then, The space is very breezy with LOTS AND LOTS of sunlight. We also have kitchen space for light cooking. The house has wireless internet so you can facetime with all your friends and make them SUPER jealous that you're in Hawaii;) We have a washer and dryer available to you as well.
We are a quick walk down hill from lots of YUMMY restaurants along Waialae Avenue. There are 42 restaurants within a 15 minute walk!! Kaimuki is a funky, friendly and chill neighborhood with lots of cool folks walking around at all hours of the day. Whether it's for their morning jog or taking their kids out for a nice stroll in the early evening. The neighborhood is VERY safe, with a Walk Score of 83. We are close to the University of Hawaii and Chaminade University. Our place is a great way for you to get to know the neighborhood.
We are also VERY close to the bus line should you choose to go that route (see what I just did there?;)) We are out of the craziness of Waikiki, but only a few miles away from it all.
We are chill, down to earth folks who like to be social, but will also leave you be if you choose to meditate for your entire trip. My husband and I are both Physical Therapists. He is originally from Australia and I am originally from Canada. We enjoy traveling and the outdoors, but like coming home and unwinding in front of the television with a good music documentary after a long day of working. We are more of a small craft beer house then a keg stand joint. Our house is nice and neat and homey:) If you're looking for a party house...this is probably not the best choice for you. We like to keep the noise down late at night out of respect for our neighbors and downstairs tenant.
Please be aware that we have a dog named Jack who resides downstairs in the backyard. Sometimes he sits with us un the lanai while we are chilling out at the end of the day. He may be invited into our bedroom when there is thunder and lightening. He does not venture to the back of the house where your room is.
Check out our photos and feel free to shoot us a message if you have any questions. Hope to hang with you in Hawaii soon! ALOOOOOOOHA!

Alison and Marty made us feel very welcome and are relaxed hosts. Good information on where to go and how to get places. Their home is away from the hustle ans bustle of Waikiki which was great. Large selection of restaurants within walking distance.
Convenient spot to the university and hikes in the hill. The room is clean and comfy, the hosts very friendly. Highly recommended!
Thanks for a great place to relax & feel comfortable in. It was great being so close to Waikiki without the chaos & noise of it. We could not recommend you guys enough. Friendly, knowledgeable people & Jack was great too.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Alison and Martin. Lovely, clean home where I felt welcome. Hosts are responsive and pleasant but not intrusive. Great neighborhood where I felt safe and had no problem with parking. Highly recommend this listing.
Beth & Jack the dog (who quickly became our friend) were there to greet us when we arrived. Alison & Marty came back the next day and were a pleasure to meet and visit with after we got back to the house at night. I enjoyed a beer with Marty out on the lanai, while my wife and the girls chatted about music and theatre. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have our own bathroom. Convenient location away from hectic Waikiki and close to many of our favorite places like Diamond Head/Koko Head for morning hikes, Uncle Clay's House of Pure Aloha for shave ice and within walking distance of the Seed Restaurant where we regularly dined. Parking was limited but we always managed to find a spot. Houses were in close proximity to each other and conversations of neighbors easy to hear at times, but did not bother us at all. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.
Very relaxed, convenient stay. Found the perfect scotch at Tamuras with Martin's recommendation.
Merci beaucoup!
