We have a wonderful sauna and a beautiful gazebo! The gazebo has a a chess game or comfortable furniture to just enjoy the quiet and calming sounds of the trees rustling as the huge evergreens surround our home.
We wouldn't expect any guest to go through our closets or drawers in our main living space. If Guests need to borrow something or wanted first aid items, cold med, toothbrush, etc...we are happy to provide these amenities that may have forgotten at home. A guest can certainly smoke outside but we do not smoke. We do have 2 labrador retrievers FYI in case of allergies. We can not have Guest's pets, who are normally trained, because they like to "mark" their territory & keep having accidents so...we are so sorry but we can't accommodate pets of Guests. Our dogs will not be allowed in your suite(anywhere in your living area) while you are there.
Duluth, MN is 5 minutes away, Bayfield, WI about 1 1/2 h away, Brule River 30 min away, & our home is on Lake Superior altho on the upper side (not lakefront) and off street parking in driveway.
We had a really GREAT stay at Diane and Loren's place.
The suite was huge for the two of us and perfectly furnished. We enjoyed our late evenings watching DVDs...
Our hosts were very kind, flexible and helpful to provide us good advices for local tourism (Jay Cooke Park was great, nearby Billings Park is also superb), groceries and restaurants.
We could not recommend more Diane and Loren's place, it was just perfect for us !
This was a great place to stay! Diane and Loren made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived, gave a great dinner reservation, and were awesome about checking if I was okay with dogs before the dogs came over to say hello. They even had the coffee maker all ready with grounds and water so I just had to press 'on' in the morning!
Diane and Loren were excellent hosts. We had never used Air BNB and they instantly made us feel welcome and at ease. They are a very pleasant couple.
My hosts were very welcoming and accommodating to this AirBNB newbie! The basement suite was roomy, clean, and neat. The neighborhood is great, and it was easy to access the main highways in the area. I can only hope that any future AirBNB experiences live up to this!
Diane and her husband had coffee and muffins in the morning for us. They offered plenty of information about the surrounding area. The neighborhood was quiet and serene.
They have a great & huge guest room that really made our stay in Duluth fun. The room has cabin theme throughout and there is a sauna that we could use during our stay. The Sauna was incredible and after that we slept so well. Diane gave us a good advise where to eat at Duluth, and it was very short stay but well worth to visit the city. Thank you!
We only stayed for one night. We arrived late and left early but the small amount of time that was spent in the house was very enjoyable. Diane did an excellent job being hospitable and making sure we have everything we need!
