AROUND THE AREA
The old bohemian district El Borne has developed into one of most trendy neighborhoods of Barcelona. An overnight stay in an apartment in El Borne turns your stay in Barcelona into a scenic experience.
From the apartment it is very beautiful to walk in the crisscross of small allies of which El Borne has got many, with a lot of cosy bars and terraces, design shops, restaurants, tapas bars, art galleries and museums.
Other things like the Picasso museum in the Calle Montcada, or the church Santa Maria del Mar in the center of this historic district (12th century) with behind it the most famous street of El Borne, the Passeig del Born.

The location of the apartment is perfect. You are right in the middle of restaurants, shops, cafes, and of course right next to the Picasso museum. The apartment has everything we needed and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Comfortable bed, great bathroom, and very clean and organized. I recommend the apartment to anyone visiting Barcelona.
Apartment was in an ideal location in El Born, a very trendy area, very safe, and within walking distance of everywhere, 10 mins to Las Ramblas, 10 mins to beach. Zine was waiting for us when we arrived.
The apartment was very clean, spacious, comfortable bed, flat screen tv, good Wifi with a brilliant power shower. No lift, but the stairs to 4th floor was manageable. It was very quiet during the week, but noticed the noise levels at the weekend. In hindsight, the towels were not enough, and we should have arranged additional. It is beside the Picasso Museum, which was signposted all around the city, so very handy for finding our way back. El Born is full of boutiques of jewellery, clothes, shoes etc and there are limited touristy shops.
We got a taxi from the airport, and we were charged 42 Euros, and on return it was only 27. First Taxi driver added extra charge of 20 Euros, when it should be a minimum 20 Euro fare, so be mindful of that!!
In the area, we enjoyed the excellent tapas in Tapeo ( especially the Chumichurri steak and the burger with foie grais!), just down from the Picasso museum. We never got to Xampanyet, as it was always packed, so best to go at 7pm when it opens. We enjoyed a great lunch n Cuines, the restaurant beside Santa Caterina food market (Good for food purchases, nice hams, cheese, and not as touristy as La Boqueria ), and also Alsur Cafe. We enjoyed drinks in Numero Neuve a few nights and is close by, and the staff were very welcoming with great cocktails. The food market La Boqueria on Las Ramblas is worth a visit, and options for food . Barceloneta is also well worth a trip for a night out. We ate at El Suquet de l'Almirall on the main promenade. It is mainly a seafood restaraunt and the seafood was extremely fresh and tasty. They had recently changed the menus here and they were not translated to English however the waiter spent some time with us translating the menu and offered very good recommendations. The Iberian ham here was also delightful.
We did the Barcelona City Tour over two days, which was a good way to see all of the city. It would have been too much to do in one day. Book tickets for Sagrada Familia in advance (Long Queues) and for Nou Camp, or bring credit card for Express machines, the cash queue very long! Both worth a visit, and on the bus tour.
We would highly recommend the apartment to stay in, as its in a great location and the apartment has everything you could possibly need.
We had a lovely stay in Lis' apartment - it's the perfect size for two people. The location is great and very close to all the main tourist spots and fantastic restaurants- Lis' recommendations were spot on.
Lis' apartment was amazing. We had the best time, it was completely perfect for me and my boyfriend. Location was excellent, near the metro and the Picasso Museum. Even though we didn't meet Lis as she was out of town, Zine was on hand to meet us and tell us about the area. We had a slight problem with the toilet but Lis was really quick to contact us and send someone round to help! Overall, amazing experience and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Lis and Zine!
We stayed at the Picasso vie apt for 3 nights during March. The apartment's location is fantastic, and facilities are great and comfortable (exactly as you can see in the pictures). We didn't meet Lis but she made sure we are ok throughout our stay and was very nice.
Make sure you see that house cleaning of EUR 50 is not included in the apt price (we missed it, it was under the house rules and not under the additional fees).
Alles was goed schoon.

One of my biggest passions is travel and live in different places in this beautiful planet. So probably I won't be in Barcelona to check you in, but don't worry I will put you in good hands, and I will be always available by email to manage all, and make sure you have a great stay!
I don't smoke, I am vegan, I do yoga, I love to paint abstract..., I love to do crazy things, but I am also a positive down to earth person, and self-confident.
Love to have my apartment in El Born area, as I think is really the perfect place to explore the old city and go all around the city center. Barcelona has a strong personality and a lot of charming.
Please tell me what you like and what you want to do in Barcelona, and I will do my best to provide you with best recommendations.
Enjoy your stay and every single moment in life!
