We really enjoyed our stay at la badiola villa. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful place it would be perfect for you! The views there are beautiful and the warm hospitality of Gabrielle and her son, made our stay very pleasant. We arrived there during the night, and in spite of the crazy hour they picked us up from the train station so we wouldn't have problems finding the place. The villa itself is simple and nice and had everything we needed so we cooked when we wanted. The beds weren't that comfortable for us (2 couple with 2 babies) but the place definitely have other advantages. The pool is located in a relatively private place below the villa and is kept clean. More important- in reality it's bigger than it looks in pictures- we loved it! Thanks for a lovely week from the four of us!
Dear Orly & friends, thanks a lot for your nice account of the time spent here. We are glad you enjoyed the place and - from our part - it was a pleasure meeting you! As for the beds, we feel we should specify - for those who read - that we had provided you with two infant beds. As for the adult ones everyone, of course, has a preference regarding mattresses/bed frames, but we have never received complaints before about these specific ones. Just to give a little context :-) Thanks again and all the best!
La Badiola was a wonderful holiday rental. The specifics of the house are exactly as described, and made more wonderful by the friendly and attentive hosts. Gabriella and Gabriel (mother and son) were very knowledgeable about the local area and were exceptionally kind and helpful. We (two twenty something couples) had a fantastic week, but it would equally suit a family holiday very well. We would thoroughly recommend it for relaxation and exploring in land tuscany and umbria.
We really, really enjoyed our stay at this nice and quiet place in Tuscany - about 10 min from the town, elevated from the road, and nothing to disturb a classic view of Tuscan hills. Gabriella and her son were extremely welcoming and helpful, the house is well equipped and cool on hot days - and the pool is just great. This is the true Tuscan experience and we cannot recommend La Badiola enough.

About the Host, Gabriella
I was born in the north of Lombardy, close to the Swiss border, where I spent my childhood and adolescence. I moved to Milan to study Law and lived there for over twenty years. I moved to Tuscany with my husband and kids in 1993 and since then I managed to invest more time in the activities I love the most: painting, ceramics and decoration. I am part of the Italian BPW (International Federation of Business and Professional Women) and I was myself president of the local division. I love taking care of my three (well-behaved) dogs and my now 17-year-old cat. We, as a family, have been renting two separate annexes of our villa to English, Dutch and American tourists for over ten years. I now take care of this along with my son. We speak Italian and basic English.
