Charming apartment in an old house, ideally located near the city center. Beautiful view, and great atmosphere. Excellent bus connections to museums, airport, skiing resorts etc right outside the house. The apartment is spacious and has two large bedrooms. With wood heating for staying warm on cold winter days!
The apartment is fully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook your own food. Tromsø is a city that is worth visiting in all seasons, to enjoy the bright summer nights, or to ski, and to admire the northern lights during the winter season. Regardless which season you would like to visit Tromsø, this residence has a perfect location, both for exploring the city itself, and the suroundings. It takes you only 5 minutes to walk downhill to the city center!
The whole appartment will be available for my guests, feel free to use kitchen facilities etc as you wish!
The property is very close to the city center, but still very quiet, and private. Fantastic view over the city and the surroundings!
Bus to / from the airport stops right outside the house, departing 3 times per hour. Also very good bus connections to museums, sights, shopping etc.
Pets are not allowed. Smoking strictly prohibited! The accommodation is part of a condominium, and I expect that you keep in mind that I do have neighbours!
No extra guests allowed! Only paying guests are allowed to stay in the apartment during your stay.
We did not meet Grete in person but from our first contact she provided excellent communication and was extremely friendly and welcoming in her emails and messages. The apartment was in an excellent position with a bus stop outside the door for buses into the centre of Tromso and to the Arctic Cathedral and cable car. It was also an easy distance to walk into town. We loved the apartment with its green and blue colour scheme and quirky retro furnishings. It was a lot bigger than it appeared on the website. It was toasty warm with the electric heating but we also had a wood fire one evening. The apartment had everything we could possibly want and we were particularly grateful for the washing machine and drier.
PERFECTION. Couldn't have felt more welcome in Grete's apartment. The pictures seriously do not do this place the justice that it deserves it was cosy, stylish, warm and immaculate with all the amenities you need and more. With two beers waiting for us when we got there late at night, it got our weekend break off to a great start!
Cant wait to return next year!
Grete's flat is wonderful and as described. We had a great week's stay and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Grete was very attentive and made sure we had some extra food as our flight was delayed and the shops were closed the day we arrived. Grete also contacted us frequently throughout the holiday week to alert us to customary closings of shops so we could navigate our shopping during hours that stores were open. The flat, the kitchen, the fireplace, beds and the view all made for an excellent stay. I would recommend Grete's flat to anyone considering a 2 bedroom flat to stay in Tromso!
Grete's apartment is everything she says it is, and more. We really loved staying there; loved the views over the town and the harbour; loved the aesthetic of the apartment; loved how thoughtfully Grete had left us some food in the fridge before we arrived. The apartment is also very well located, close to a bus stop, within easy walking distance of the centre of the town. Strongly and warmly recommended! Thanks Grete for a wonderful stay.
Thankyou Grete for having such a fabulous place to stay in. We could catch a bus outside the apartment, walking into the city was 5 to 10 minutes. I would recommend your beautiful place to anybody.
The pictures don’t do it justice! We had a simply fantastic time staying in Grete’s house. It is so stylish and beautiful, it is a joy to look in every direction in every room! Her taste is really distinctive and it was a pleasure to notice over the days more and more examples and details. The flat is also really well kitted out; we had everything we needed to make some lovely meals, and to bath and sleep luxuriously and comfortably. The log burning fire was a great feature of our long nights. She mentions that the view is spectacular, and it was indeed, enhanced by unexpected snow. We had a remarkable experience perched above the town, watching snow blown along past the trees outside her kitchen window, and the light fading over the mountains. It was so different, and her lovely, old, welcoming apartment was the perfect place from which to experience it all. Worth mentioning also are the handy facts that the flat is a short walk from the town centre, and the airport bus really did stop right outside her house. Grete was prompt in reply, left us good directions and instructions, and we felt well taken care of. This apartment is not just good value for money, it is a total treat.
The reservation was canceled 14 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
In my 30s, have a very exiting job at the Tromsø University Hospital, and fortunate to have hobbies enough, never to be bored!
I´m curious, creative and crafty. I can´t pass a thrift shop or flea marked without making a bargain. I also focus on reuse, an this is all very much reflected in the way my home is decorated and furnished.
I have traveled alot in my life, yet the list of places I want to visit, never seems to get shorter! After living in Guatemala as a teen, I´ve crossed the atlantic ocean countless times to explore the rest of Latin America. So many places to see, so little time!
Nevertheless; Northern Norway is where my heart is. I love the magnificent scenery, wonderful light, rough weather, and the ability to watch the seasons changing. The endless ocean and mountains; it is such a giant playground!
I´m a passionate telemark skier, I love sea kayaking, and about every other activity that include wearing technical outerwear.
