  • We will definitely be staying here again! Grete's apartment is stunning and in an ideal location. It was clean, homely and beautifully decorated and furnished. Grete was very helpful and responded quickly. We would highly recommend staying here if you visit Tromso.

  • What a wonderful apartment! The sort of place you wish you lived in permanently!
And although we did not meet Grete in person, in all communications she proved herself to be very friendly, quick to respond, extremely helpful and willing to “go the extra mile” to sort out any issues we experienced during our stay in Tromsø.

The apartment is tastefully decorated with lots of wonderful details. It is superbly located, with great views over Tromsø & the water and just a short walk down into the centre of town. Grete does everything to make sure her guests are comfortable, and we certainly felt right at home.

On any return visit to Tromsø there is only one place I would like to stay and that is Petersborggata 62. Tusen takk Grete!

  • Grete's is a very comfortable apartment, well equipped and with some truly individual touches which made for an interesting stay. We particularly enjoyed the open plan living area with its wood-burning stove and fabulous views over the town and down the fjord. Watching the weather over the mountains and sea was a delight, especially when the snow came down and we were warm as toast inside with our books and music! It would make a perfect base for a Christmas and New Year break, perhaps with the elusive northern lights making an appearance too. We'd very happily return; Tromso is a great place with lots to see and do (just watch out for the ever-vigilant parking wardens).

  • This is a sparkling gem of a home and one of the best places me and my travelling companions have ever stayed. We were very sorry to leave - and Tromsø itself is wonderful too.

Grete's house manages to both feel like home and have a stunningly high level of interior design. Grete was very helpful and prompt with responses. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

  • Grete's apartment is absolutely stunning - in every way. Great location, great style, great comfort, great views, great log fire...I could go on and on. This was honestly one of the best weekend breaks I've ever been on (Tromso and the surrounding area is so beautiful) and Grete's apartment was a huge contributing factor. Grete was super helpful with any queries I had - I would recommend this as absolutely the best place to stay in Tromso. Thanks so much Grete!

  • Grete was a wonderful host. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was first rate. Grete treated us like good friends in the way she took care of us. I have rented many properties with Airbnb, all of the hosts were great, but Grete is by far the best.

Her beautiful apartment was spotless. Her fun/artful design/furnishings are top notch and charming. Her apartment looks even lovelier than the Airbnb photos. Her place is one of a kind with a beautiful view and a short walk from the downtown area. And, her beds were extremely comfortable, it was like sleeping on clouds.

I cannot wait to go back to Tromso. When I do, I will not stay anywhere else but Grete's place.

  • Stunning house!! We loved the decoration. We really felt at home at Grete's place, and it was just a short walk from Tromso centre. Very soft comfortable bed too!!

  • Grete's house is an absolute gem. It's stylish and spacious, well-stocked and with fantastic views over Tromsø, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the living room and a log fire. There's even a balcony which in summer months must be a great lookout spot. Grete's directions from the airport were easy to follow and she was in touch throughout our stay to make sure we had anything we needed. On arrival there were beers and snacks with a little welcome note and maps of the city. The local supermarket (Norways ubiquitous REMA 1000) is only a few minutes' walk away and Tromsø is small enough that you never really need to use public transport from Grete's place.

We had a fantastic time and Grete's flat is definitely on our list of places to stay again!

  • This flat is what makes AirBnB what it is, great location, looks really nice inside and feels like a home! Grete was also very quick with communication when we couldn't figure out the tap, would definitely stay here again.

In my 30s, have a super exiting job at a hospital, and fortunate to have hobbies enough, never to be bored! I´m curious, creative and crafty. I can´t pass a thrift shop or flea marked without making a bargain. I also focus on reuse, an this is all very much reflected in the way my home is decorated and furnished. I have traveled alot in my life, yet the list of places I want to visit, never seems to get shorter! After living in Guatemala as a teen, I´ve crossed the atlantic ocean countless times to explore the rest of Latin America. So many places to see, so little time! Nevertheless; Northern Norway is where my heart is. I love the magnificent scenery, wonderful light, rough weather, and the ability to watch the seasons changing. The endless ocean and mountains; it is such a giant playground! I´m a passionate telemark skier, I love sea kayaking, and about every other activity that include wearing technical outerwear. When I´m not busy being busy, I love to read....
