The space

Stay in the best location Boulder has to offer. Walk everywhere from this Mapleton Hill location: 6 blocks to the center of the famous Pearl Street Mall; 3 blocks to our neighborhood Whole Foods, Vic's Coffee, Pharmaca, restaurants, specialty wine shop, and more. Sanitas trailhead is 6 blocks away. One block to the bus stop. 3 blocks to the closest bike rental station. The convenience of this location just can't be beat.

The house has loads of charm with wood floors throughout. It's a very peaceful and relaxing space with three bedrooms and baths upstairs and living room, parlor, kitchen, small bedroom and bath on the main level. It is a renovated Victorian house built in 1896 by a Boulder Judge. The kitchen is fully updated with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. You will love cooking in this kitchen although it may be hard to resist all of the awesome restaurant choices that are located so close by. There is a flat screen and surround sound system in the living room for TV or movies, and TVs in two of the bedrooms. The house is wireless. Did we mention the wrap around front porch? Really fun to hang out on and watch people walking and biking by or grill something delicious on the gas grill. We ask that you not be loud on the porch so as not to disturb our neighbors. Please know that there is no backyard and instead there are townhouses behind the house. However, the awesome wrap around front porch more than makes up for the lack of a backyard.

The house has three bedrooms up and one down. We live in the house (but go on vacation when you are here) so our personal things are around. We will, however, make as much room in the closets as we can for you.

MASTER BEDROOM. This bedroom is very large and includes a queen real bed, desk for your computer, closet and a wall of windows offering a a view of the Flatirons (less so when the trees are leafed out). There is an en suite bathroom that includes a small shower stall, however, it is currently not in use, so showering is done in the main bathroom. There is a flatscreen TV in this room. It is located in the front of the house facing the street and is very sunny. You will hear some street noise at times (occasionally people walking by and car doors) if you keep the windows open at night. There is a room air conditioner as this room gets a lot of sun.
SECOND BEDROOM. This bedroom includes a double real bed, desk for your computer, plenty of closet space, and foothill views to the north. This bedroom is in the back of the house and quiet.
THIRD BEDROOM. This bedroom includes a double real bed, desk for your computer, closet space, and foothill views to the north. This bedroom is in the back of the house and also quiet.
FOURTH BEDROOM. This is a very cozy little room on the main level that shares a wall with the kitchen. It has a flatscreen TV and a single bed.

The house has 3 bathrooms, 2 upstairs and 1 on the main level. There is one shower to share. Three bedrooms are upstairs and located close to each other so if you are looking for a lot of privacy from one bedroom to the other, this may not be the best situation for you. The fourth small bedroom, as already mentioned, is on the main level.

Since we will be out of town during your stay, there is keyless entry to both the front door and the little room on the side porch. I will leave a notebook with detailed instructions regarding the thermostat, the window A/C unit, and other things about the house. Should you need help with anything during your stay, I will be available by email, phone or text. As well, my adult son and/or his father live close by and can help. All contact info will be provided.

No issue, there is free street parking (some restrictions on my block with signs posted) and a driveway.

I am a long-term resident of Boulder and possess a wealth of knowledge about this town and will leave plenty of information at the house to assist you in exploring Boulder. My partner, Karl, moved here from California many years ago and we know you will enjoy staying in our home.

We know you will enjoy our house and its exceptional location to all that Boulder offers. Please, no smoking, no throwing of parties... just keep it mellow and use the house as a retreat to relax, cook a meal, watch a movie, hang out on the porch. We are part of a homeowners association and one of our rules is no smoking within 25 feet of any of the properties so please respect this. And no smoking inside either.

We keep the kitchen spotless and hope that you will as well. Detailed instructions will be left as to how to clean the granite and other surfaces. Very important - please lock all doors upon leaving to protect your possessions and ours. It's a safe neighborhood but just in case.

Lastly, please know that my house is a legal airbnb per the City of Boulder, i.e. I have a valid Short Term License. This means I pay a tax to the City just like a hotel does. Not all airbnb properties in Boulder may be legal - but mine is. :)

We absolutely loved our stay at Linda's home. Very cozy, charming and plenty of room. There were 4 adults in the home and it was perfect for us. Her home is tastefully decorated and located in a lovely neighborhood. Within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on Pearl Street. Linda was helpful in making sure our stay was comfortable and pleasant. We definitely will go back for another stay.

I've lived in Boulder for 30+ years and have accumulated a wealth of knowledge about this city that I'm happy to share. My boyfriend moved here from California many years ago and he loves it here. I obviously love it since I've been here so long. I'm a real estate broker and love to help people in this regard. I'm just getting back into fine art painting so that is exciting. I like to play guitar, cook healthy food, and be out in the sunny weather. My boyfriend is a painter of houses and has spent countless hours updating and keeping our house looking good. He also plays guitar, writes music, and sings. He has two grown sons that are musicians and travel around the world. I have one son who lives here in Boulder. He bartends in a very nice restaurant in town and he also takes people on fly fishing tours, so if you're into that, I will put him in touch with you.
