About this listing
This master bedroom features a seven foot tall window facing Bayshore Blvd. Guests have their own queen size bed, walk-in closet and bathroom. Common areas in this two bedroom condo (including a tiled patio facing Bayshore/Downtown) are shared with an International Business student / professional.
Hey everyone! My name is Jess. I am a business student and professional living in south Tampa in a two bedroom condo on Bayshore Blvd. (just south of Bay to Bay). As I love learning about other cultures, meeting new people and have had great experiences with AirBnb as a traveler, I recently decided to become an AirBnb host. I am looking forward to meeting people from all over the world!
My condo has a modern interior, is part of a very safe building and is central to most key areas of downtown Tampa. The convention center, Hyde Park, Historical Ybor City, Channelside, Harbour Island and Davis Island are all within biking distance or a short cab ride. Many South Tampa restaurants (ie. Datz) are within walking distance. I have lived in the Tampa area for approx. 15 years and can offer suggestions for places to go. There is also plenty of parking in our parking lot off of Bayshore.
I live in a very safe and quiet building comprised of young professionals and retirees. All of my guests must be respectful of others living in the building, in terms of both safety and noise. I will only consider approving guests who have verifications and/or positive reviews/recommendations. ***You must be open-minded and non-judgmental/prejudice.
This is a great room for a traveling professional visiting downtown Tampa (ie. convention center). Also a great choice for those looking to explore Tampa from a central location (with the option to receive tips at the start and end of each day from a local). :] (For more information, see reviews for Bayshore Boulevard Linear Park on Yelp).
Typically breakfast consists of coffee, fruit and pastries. When time allows, my favorite breakfast items to cook for/with guests are omelettes and blueberry pancakes. :] If you have any preferences, let me know!
If you'd rather eat out, I highly recommend the short walk down Bayshore to Datz (0.7 miles; great morning walk & views). Alternatively, the Colonnade is located right next to our condo and features views of the water and downtown from your table.
Guests will have a private master bedroom (approx. 12'x15') with a walk-in closet which leads to a their private full bathroom. Guests will also have access to the living/dining room area, full kitchen and outdoor patio. The patio overlooks Bayshore Blvd. and features the same tile as the interior common areas. The kitchen is stocked with a Keurig coffee maker, a juicer, microwave and the typical range of dishes and cooking utensils. ***The stove/oven, for liability reasons, will only be available for use when I am home.
Guests also have access to an outdoor swimming pool. Laundry is available inside of the building. Free shaded parking is available on both sides of the complex. When walking into the building a key is needed (unless you prefer to use the intercom). Losing the gate key results in a $100 deduction from your deposit.
Inside of the unit I have, for your use, a Bowflex TreadClimber and a Bellicon Rebounder. More importantly... a 30 second walk from the condo's front door is Bayshore Blvd. where you can run with great views of downtown and nice neighborhoods, stopping along the way to work out on the available outdoor exercise machines (think Muscle Beach Gym but linear and more laid back).
On many days, if you like, I can drive you to a central area at the start of your day and you can easily cab back.
Bayshore is also a great way to get into the center of the city. You can walk or bike from our building directly into downtown without dealing with cross traffic.
There are also bus stops near the condo and once you are downtown there is a trolley that takes you through downtown, Channelside and Historic Ybor City.
If you are driving here or will have a rental, there is plenty of free parking at our complex.
Interaction with guests
I am a full time student and I work from home running a few start-ups. My days are therefore generally very busy but I would love to hear about my guest's travels and maybe even go for a joined run or bike ride on Bayshore if time allows. On the other hand, if it is preferred, I can leave you to do your own thing. As a frequent traveler myself, I know that sometimes one simply wants quiet and time for reflection when they reach home. Just let me know your preferences. :]
The environment is generally pretty quiet. I am in and out throughout the day and host regular study groups and game/movie nights but that is the extent of what you would encounter unless I specify otherwise.
I do occasionally foster and watch dogs, most often my best friend's Doberman, so please let me know if you have any allergies. If you have a pet you would like to bring, please inform me of the details and we can decide if it would be a good fit. I am an animal lover, so assuming my neighbors would not be disturbed, I will most likely give the green light.
Now that the details and "rules" are out of the way... please let me know if you have any questions... I look forward to being your AirBnb host! :D
No drugs or excessive drinking. Guests must be respectful of neighbors in terms of noise and safety. For liability reasons, the stove and oven are only available for use when I am home. Microwave is available at all times.
A "Do Not Duplicate" key is required to enter the building. If you chose to carry it with you and you lose it, $100 will be deducted from your deposit.
