The space

Noura and her team offer a warm welcome for your stay at Riad located behind the walls of the old city, the medina of Marrakech.

We have restored this riad respecting traditional construction rules. It took five years to complete the total restoration that ended in September 2012. We have installed every modern comfort, water, heating, air conditioning, bathrooms and toilets in each room.

Located just steps from the Jemaa El Fna, with 4 bedrooms including a suite 4 people, a large patio, two lounges, a kitchen, a large terrace, one can easily accommodate up to ten people and even 12 with 2 extra beds. The booking price includes breakfast.

Meals can be ordered in the morning to the evening, served in a friendly atmosphere in one of two lounges, on the patio or on the terrace.

It is also possible to rent the entire house for a family or friends, like Christmas or a birthday.

All interests center are close to the Riad, Jemaa el Fna, the Koutoubia, Saadian Palace, the garden Adgal, the market of Gueliz, the souk Beldi, Majorelle Gardens, art galleries, upscale restaurants and popular nightclubs, water parks with access to free shuttle service.

We can arrange excursions and guided tours. If you have time, we particularly recommend a day trip to Essaouira, a charming town on the Atlantic coast in the west that absolutely must be seen. We also recommend the two-day trip in the Sahara desert around Zagora with overnight camping.

Discover the enchanting Moroccan atmosphere, mysterious, with a thousand colors.

Guest access

Guest can access to all the amenities excepted the kitchen which is a working area.

Interaction with guests

Before coming, we give a hand to our guests to prepare the stay and take in account all the requests. When the Riad is reached, we provide advice for all needs. We arrange sightseeings with local tourist agencies: night in desert, Essaouira port journey, etc...

This is really a beautiful riad; the photos do not do justice to the lovingly restored decorative tilework (nor do my point-and-shoot attempts). The location is perfect - in a quiet alley very close to the Jemaa el-Fna. Our room, though small, was comfortable and peaceful. There was even wi-fi (which I had not expected) and air-conditioning (which we did not need). Amina, the caretaker, was very friendly and accommodating, waking up an hour early to make us breakfast on the correct assumption that we had forgotten to change our clocks.

This one of the most beautifully decorated places we have ever stayed. Although not easy to find at first, it was very convenient to all the attractions in central Marrakesh and easy to get back to once we were oriented. The prompt and kind assistance of our hosts, enabled us to find secure parking and to get help with our luggage. This riad is just off one of the main streets in the heart of a medieval marketplace bordering the famously crowded Jemaa El Fna Square. Step outside and you immediately find yourself caught up in one of the most diverse street scenes in the world. Literally, we mingled with snake charmers and fortune tellers, merchants pulling donkeys laden with goods, bargain-hunting tourists, locals buying groceries and aloof hipsters from around the globe. Then, when we needed a soothing rest to the senses, we could retreat to this private garden oasis and relax while songbirds (just like on the website!) perched on the lovely fountain in the middle of the blue and white tiled courtyard. The rooms were small but warm (heaters provided), cozy and well-lit with surprising little touches; ours had a canopied four poster bed and an enormous bathtub like something out of Arabian Nights, while our teen daughter’s room upstairs included a cute decorated wardrobe for her clothes. The friendly French and Arabic-speaking housekeeper treated us as if we were guests in her own home, making frequent inquiries as to our needs and ensuring the enormous ancient front door—a photo op right there—was always secured. This is a house tailor- made for photo ops to make your friends envious-- full of the almost overwhelmingly luxurious comfort typical of a Moroccan inn, colorful mosaics, tiled floors, gorgeous cushioned furnishings. The perfect place for a “cultural immersion” during your Moroccan stay.

Very nice riad in the heart of the medina. Clean and nicely-appointed. Free breakfast each morning a definite plus. The real draw is the great staff. We never met Noura, but the housekeeper and overnight staffperson were very friendly and accommodating and more than happy to assist. Two tips: 1. though Noura recommends a spot in the main square to meet up with the staff to be led to the riad, the square itself is large and VERY busy. Admittedly, my flight was delayed so we didn't get there until almost midnight, which added to the confusion. But simply meeting at the bus stop, as the reservation suggested, was a little vague, and my friend and I were left wandering trying to find the right stop. Be sure to get clear direction on where in the square you'll meet up with Noura's staff AND how to get to that spot. 2. There's no wifi, but the nearby Hotel Islane has an unlocked network accessible from its cafe below. Great for a quick email check and afternoon tea break.

Really an awesome stay:-) We stayed for 11 nights and never regretted our decision. Philippe was really an amazing host and ever willing to help. Location is brilliant. It is tricky to find at first but once you find it, you won't have trouble finding the riad again. Great breakfast, just what one needs to keep your stamina for the gorgeous hustle and bustle of Marrakech. The rooftop garden and Philippe's guitar playing is also a nice touch! Oh and a very clean riad, we really appreciated that too!

Noura, through the entire duration of our stay, was a fantastic host. She help with directions/suggestions and even fetching timetables for bus services. Every morning she made sure to display a very good selection of local products for our breakfast. She was very discrete and made us feel welcome. Highly recommended.

Phillip and Noura are great hosts! We were warmly welcomed with fresh orange juice when we arrived in Marrakesh. The Riad we stayed at was just renovated en beautifully decorated. Great room, shower and atmosphere. Every morning we got (a lovely) breakfast at the rooftop. Phillip is a fun person, who always wanted to help you out and give advice, in French, English or Arabic, no problem. When we got sick one day, they personally walked us to a nice place to eat and helped us out. Also the neighbourhood is good, it's right in the middle of Marrakesh near the souks and Jamaa el Fnaa. Great stay, would definitely book again with Noura and Phillip!

Very spacious, comfortable room. As it's on the top floor of the riad, it's very quiet (except for the muezzin's call, amplified by loudspeakers, at 5:45 every morning). I was there during a soccer tournament, and when a Moroccan team won its match there was celebrating in the streets all night long. But I didn't hear a thing. Noura herself is charming, and the kindness and helpfulness of her staff beggars description. The only flaw I can think of was the very low pressure in the cold water faucet in the sink. But the hot water faucet was fine, as was the shower. The breakfast was tasty and there was more of it than I could eat.
