The Space

Hi! I love meeting new people and hosting fellow travelers.

I live on the edge of Lincoln Park/Lakeview in an historic building. Built in 1904, my 2 br/1.5 bath home has a ton of character including window seats, original wood, and high ceilings. It's rumored that Al Capone used one of the units as a speakeasy.

While it's over a century in age, it's recently undergone a huge facelift. Updated bathrooms and kitchen give you the old school charm with all of the modern comforts - including central air conditioning.

When you arrive, I'll take you through site-seeing and travel recommendations and well as provide a short paper guide to help you get around town during your stay.

Can't wait to meet you!

- Tons of restaurants, bars, & shops
- The beautiful Lincoln Park (the actual park too)
- The lake and lakefront path
- Trader Joes and Urban Wal-mart
- Landmark Movie Theatre
- Lincoln Park zoo
- Wrigley Field
- The Nature Museum
- Yak-zies and the Laugh Factory comedy clubs
- DePaul University
- Kingston Mines (Blues bar)

I'm close to public transit - on the bus, it takes me less than 30 minutes to get downtown. There are 9 bus lines within a 5-minute walk of my front door that'll take you to different parts of downtown and the north side of the city.

  • Awesome. Rebecca was so nice and her apartment is incredibly well decorated and beautiful. Rebecca was very gracious and offered us access to her food and all her space and she was fun to talk to also. She left us a great local area guide and even provided us free access to the Chicago Insitvte of Art and coupons to local events. The bed was comfortable and we were permitted use of laundry facilities inside the apartment for free.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Rebecca in Chicago. We'd been traveling for some time so we didn't have much energy to be out and about in Chicago; her apartment was a great comfortable place for us to unwind and relax in the middle of our journey. It is wonderfully decorated and the kitchen is very nice. She gave us great ideas on where to find food, coffee, and sour cherries! Parking is definitely a challenge in the neighborhood, but we parked in the garage by Wal-Mart and it was only $22/day.

  • Although I only saw Rebecca a handful of times, my stay with her was delightful! Her home is SO adorable, clean, and very comfortable. The room was surprisingly large, with plenty of room to spread out. She was also great at communicating before my arrival, and during my stay. The bathrooms are AMAZING - I definitely recommend you try out the overhead rain shower! :)

She also provided all kinds of great restaurant recommendations and brochures to help me plan my activities - as well as a membership pass to gain free access to the art institute - what a treat!

  • My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at Rebecca's gorgeous apartment during Memorial Day weekend. She is extremely helpful, friendly, and generous. She gave us great recommendations for restaurants, public transit directions, and her museum pass for the Institute of Art, all of which came in handy. Her apartment is stunning: cozy decor, elegant furniture, and a fantastic shower! We both wish we had more (email hidden). I highly recommend Rebecca and would love to stay there again!

  • Rebecca has a lot of class. It shows in the way she treats her guests, and it shows in the way she keeps her home. She's genuinely friendly, professional, trustworthy, and helpful. Her place is tastefully decorated, stylish, clean, and comfortable. Six stars -- an outstanding value. I will want to return.

  • Rebecca treated me as if I were a family member coming to visit - warm and friendly, and where the idiom,"make yourself at home" is more than just that. Her flexible schedule allowed her to be very accommodating to my schedule. Her apartment was clean, neat, and quiet, and an easy walk to "L" or bus. I highly recommend Rebecca's airbnb.

  • We had really great time in Chicago, even it was cold and snowy, we were coming back to the beautiful and very stylish Rebecca’s apartment! She is amazing! Rebecca gave us some tips how to spend great time and safe some money, helped with car when we went back to the airport and was really helpful and attentive.
By the way, there is a nice 100% american small bar right near the house where u can eat cool Chicago pizza )) Search it in the tripadvisor app.

The thing I enjoy most in life is meeting new people and traveling to new places. I think there's something that can be learned from everyone you meet and I'm hoping to learn as much as possible. I grew up in a suburb of Chicago (where my family still lives today) and spent a couple years down in Austin, TX - in my opinion, the 2nd-best city in the U.S. If you're looking for things to do in Austin or Chicago, I'm your woman. Having fun has more to do with who you're with than what you're doing and nothing great ever happens if you just stay at home. For some reason Farsi isn't on Air BnB's list of spoken languages, but I can speak that one too.
