Sunrise Vista Muizenberg is located at the top end of Sea View Road and the road is true to it's name with wonderful views of the sea, the whole of False Bay, the beach and the Overberg mountains on the horizon.
Muizenberg train station is just a short 5 min walk down to the Main Road. The train runs from Cape Town to Simonstown regularly. Guests are also given the contact details of 3 sedan taxi services that operate from the local area. Parking for guests is in the cul de sac immediately in front of the Main house.
It would be greatly appreciated if guests could refrain from smoking indoors. An ashtray is provided outside. As the mountain vegetation is immediately behind the cottage, it is requested that guests are cautious when extinguishing cigarettes.
Elizabeth was wonderful, and the cottage was beautiful. Stunning views and super friendly hosts. We met her parents as well, and they were charming beyond belief. Thanks for the wonderful stay in gorgeous Muizenberg!
It was a wonderful stay in the cosy little appartement in Muizenberg. We felt really comfortable and in good hands at Elizabeths' and her Family. Muizenberg was a good starting point for all actions in and around capetown. The small kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the view from the Appartement over the bay was breathtaking.
Dear Elizabeth, thank you so much, that you make our Holidays to an unforgetable experience. We will definately come back one day.
It was my first week of a two year journey in South Africa, honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better start.
Thank you Elizabeth for your kind and warm hospitality.
It has being a joy and privilege to be your guest!
I had a great time staying at the sunrise vista. True to its name the sun rises over the ocean which you can see through the generous windows of the cottage. Below is the sleepy historic village of Muizenberg, which at the moment is a small hub for young families, surfers, students and travelers. Above is the mountain, with one two lane road that cuts a log the side of it and provides stunning vistas for cars bikers and joggers. Cape point, well worth a visit, is about 30 min of coastal driving away. Downtown Cape Town is about 30 min inland or a short ride on the train which stops just down the hill.
Elizabeth and her family are kind and charming. They were helpful and welcoming without ever being intrusive.
I would definitely stay at Sunrise Vista again!
The beach cottage was fantastic! It was clean, cozy and truly felt like a 'home away from home'. Elizabeth was a great host and her and her family offered excellent suggestions on activities around Muizenberg. The location is wonderful since it is near the train station, a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to Kalk Bay. A really great place to stay!
Elizabeth was the most delightful of hosts. It is clearly the best welcome, service and place we've ever been to with AirBnB. It's ideal for couples as well as single visitors, with equal distance to Cape Town, the Airport and the Cape of Good Hope. The view over the seaside is breathtaking and there are no security issues in the area whatsoever! Thanks again!

About the Host, Elizabeth
I am an artist and work from home. I live on the mountain-side in Muizenberg at the end of a cul de sac. The house and guest cottage overlook False Bay sea. Living here is wonderful, as there is the mountain immediately behind and the sea in front - so close to nature and yet galleries, music concerts, theater plays and shopping centers are so easily accessible. There are so many outdoor activities to do here (cycling, surfing, diving, hiking, canoeing...) but I love to go bird watching and have even been out to sea on a Pelagic trip to see the Albatross. Mostly I just enjoy going for walks along the beach and for a treat spend the day out at Cape Point Nature Reserve. There is so much Cape Town has to offer and I would be delighted to introduce our guests to what would possibly be of interest to them.
