It was such a honor to be part of Bonnie's family. From the moment that I step into Bonnie's lovely charming home, she made me feel that I am back home again! As Airbnb host myself in L.A., I can see why Bonnie and her lovely charming home is definitely the top choice if you plan to visit wine country in Napa, Sonoma and Santa Rosa. Her home is located at a very beautiful and safe area, where you often see cute deer walking around the neighborhood. However, it's also very near by all the shopping places like Trader's Joe, Whole Foods, Costco and highway. The room that I was staying is very roomy, clean with beautiful view of forest to enjoy from the large windows. At night, the fresh air blowing from the Russian River makes every night sleep a most enjoyable experience. I am already looking forward to coming back to Bonnie's lovely charming home next year. It's your home away from home!

I had a wonderful time staying with Bonnie in Santa Rosa… 1)Bonnie is a wonderful host, providing food for breakfast, coffee in the mornings, and often offering to include me in her dinner plans. I was sick for a few days and she even made me chicken noodle soup! 2)The room is an absolute dream. There is so much space, a comfy queen bed, two large closets, shelves, drawers, a desk, a great chair…everything you could ask for. Bonnie had locks installed on all of the bedroom doors so that there is an extra sense of privacy and security. 3)You have access to the whole house, with room in the fridge and pantry, and access to the washer and dryer, which are essential for long-term stays. 4)There is a cleaning crew that comes in every week. 5)The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, with little traffic. I went on some great walks, and there are absolutely beautiful hikes if you feel like driving 10-15 minutes! It’s also conveniently close to the rest of Santa Rosa. Unfortunately, there were also a couple downsides to the place, though they are few and manageable if you come in prepared! 1)Bonnie rents 3 rooms in her house, all of which share the same bathroom. There’s no guarantee that all rooms will be rented, but be prepared to be flexible with your morning and evening schedules. Also, the house in general is fairly busy, as Bonnie and her sweet 4 year old granddaughter live there full time. 2)If you are a light sleeper or need a dark place to sleep, make sure you bring a sleep mask if you’re staying here! The room is wonderfully light, however that is mostly due to the large window directly over the bed. Not so much of a problem during the week when you have work, but made sleeping in on weekends a little tough for me. Overall, I would come stay with Bonnie again in a heartbeat!!

Bonnie and her family are absolutely amazing! I adore them for including me in everything during my stay. It is almost as if she lives for hosting and loves it. She's lived in the neighborhood and area for years, so she also is very informative. I stayed for an extended period and she surprised me with a new comforter and pillows even the prior was great. She goes above and beyond.

First off, Bonnie is a wonderful host and makes you feel like you are home. The room was nice, spacious, and had all the conveniences. It had a desk which was great since I was staying for business. The house is located in a cute development in North Santa Rosa and is convenient to Dry Creek, Russian River, and Alexander Valley and Calistoga in Napa. If you want to visit other places, it will be a little out of the way. There are several cats and a dog, so be prepared if you are allergic. They are super cute though. The only other caveat is that the house is busy. Bonnie rents several other rooms and everyone shares a bathroom. For the price, you can easily get past it. Overall, I had a great stay and would recommend it, especially if you are a budget minded business traveler or vacationer.

Start to finish this was a great experience. Location was easy to get to, very quite neighborhood, outstanding and attentive host (Bonnie) who goes the extra mile and is very flexible, you will not be disappointed. We were even greeted in our room with fresh flowers, some seasonal fruit and dark chocolate!

I am a retired art and drama teacher, mother of four and grandmother of seven. I Love to travel, love interesting people, love to paint in oils, watercolor and work in collage. My granddaughter, Isabella lives with me along with my dog and two cats.
I love my house it is airy and light and inviting with lots of windows in a wonderful neighborhood where I can take long walks in beautiful surroundings.
I am a non smoker and not much of a drinker. I don't mind if someone smokes outside in the patio but not in the house.
