We felt so lucky that Jose's place was available for our time in Boston! It's a really reasonable rate for such an incredible location. We loved the coziness of the basement and it was great to have the Freedom Trail and an abundance of North End restaurants right at our fingertips (try Pomodoro for a romantic, delicious dinner). The sound from the alley and footsteps from above can be heard in the basement, so if you want a super quiet place, this probably isn't it. Didn't really bother us, though, as we were getting up relatively early anyway. As other reviewers mentioned, the bed is a little on the firm side and would benefit from a mattress topper - but if you've been walking around Boston all day and are tired, it solves that issue. :) Thanks so much, Jose! We'll definitely try and stay here again if/when we're in the city.

Perfect location. I loved the feel of the apartment. It was pretty fun. It could use some renovation and some new paint in the bathroom I think. And we hear people walking on us on the other floor. They probably hear us walking too. It's a pretty old building. But mostly you will get what you paid for. And if you like old apartments, this one is pretty cool.

Stayed here for 3 nights while helping my college daughter get moved in to a new place. The location was great. In the North End, right across from the Old North Church. About a 10 minute easy walk to the Haymarket T stop. Loved the neighborhood. The place is a basement apartment, very well kept and clean. Pretty small bathroom, with no counter space....that would be the only downside if I had to name one. I really enjoyed walking around the north end...delicious food on every corner, and of course the bakeries!!

This place was outstanding as far as location goes! It was exactly as described. It's not glamorous however, it's clean, safe and does the job! I would rent again! Jose was very responsive to all my questions! Thank you!

Location was killer and literally on the Freedom Trail and steps from all the action in the North End, plus a bike share station nearby too. For those going to Boston for a quick getaway and will be exploring the city, this place is perfect. We didn't cook but kitchen seems to have the necessities for others. Great Boston touches that show the history of the area in the unit itself.

The apartment is located in North End surrounded by restaurants. The apartment is tidy, clean and comfortable. Towels, shampoo and soap are prepared in the apartment before we arrived. 5 minutes walk from the subway station. We are lucky to be able to participate in the fisherman's feast in North End and streets are crowded with people to celebrate! Definitely will stay in this apsrtment when I visit zboston again. Thanks Jose!
