Operating and licensed since 1996, the Laurel is a beautiful 2-story 1924 home located in the heart of Mid-City. The New Orleans Jazz Festival and the Endymion Mardi Gras Parade are a 10-minute walk. The French Quarter is a 10-minute drive. Off-Street parking available.

The space
The suite is beautifully decorated with an eclectic mix of antiques and fun furniture. The bedroom has an iron queen bed and a beautiful mahogany amoire. The sunroom has a fun décor of Asian teakwood hand-carved furniture. It also features a full-size innerspring pull out sleeper/sofa. The sunroom is flooded with natural sunlight streaming in through the tall windows on every wall.

Continental breakfast is served in the main dining room.

Off-Street parking available on request.

Two cats, Billy and Koshka reside at the Laurel.

2-night minimum. Some special events have more than 2-night minimum.

Private entry directly into the guest suite is available. The sunroom is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, dishes and coffee condiments. There is a small coffee pot.

The front courtyard-style patio is wonderful and a great place to just sit and do nothing. The corner lot offers a beautiful view of the peaceful surroundings of the neighborhood.

Guests can enjoy City Park's Museum of Art, botanical gardens, sculpture garden and walking paths.

Laura and Eliot are the fifth and current owners of this 1924 raised cottage-style house. They both had professional careers; Laura is a retired Engineer and Eliot is a retired staff photographer from the local newspaper, The Times Picayune/Advocate.

Guests access their private suite from a private door directly into the suite. Guests also can enjoy the beautiful pink stone courtyard and relax at the patio table.

Lafite Greenway, neighborhood restaurants, wine bars, Thursday Farmers Market. Bicycle rental shop.
