Hand built, redwood home above the ocean. Immense dark night sky. Private and quiet . Centered between Gualala and Point Arena, off Hwy 1 on a gravel road. Our large, rustic, five bedroom, two small cabins can be added. Surrounded by flower gardens, fruit trees, veggies. High speed WiFi . Get away from city life. Huge farm kitchen with a wood fired bread oven. Lg. 11’ redwood table seats 20.
On a secluded, off grid, forty acre organic fruit, flower farm, near ocean, beaches and rivers.

The space
Our off grid, hand built upcycled wooden house, out of wood from our land is very special. Built on a forty acre organic permaculture fruit and flower farm. Secluded w/large acreage all around it, yet close to beaches, stores and restaurants. Hear the waves and seals . See the immense star filled sky at night . Close to Gualala and Point Arena. Stornetta Lands, hiking, kayaking, river swimming and surfing.
Knotty pine interiors, log and beam rustic style construction . Huge living spaces. Comfortable wood fired stoves heat one house, gas fireplace in main house. Wood milled from trees on the farm/ homestead have been used in all the construction. Three hand made bathrooms, beautiful slate and travertine, walk in shower, soaking tub, a large concrete shower . Also you can include the Cob house or Coop with your reservation .
The fully equipped, off grid kitchen is a dream for chefs and families. Help yourself to fruit and herbs from the garden during your stay. I can fire the large bread oven for your stay for a $50 fee, or it’s fired in the winter months for heat. The temp varies from 800-200F over four to five days . To be used for many things, pizza on the first night when it’s the hottest, or steaks and chops at that temp, roasted veggies, roasts, smoking, even cakes and pies are the temp drops. Please drink our good well water, it’s tested annually.
Organic Fruit and Flower Farm surrounds the houses with outdoor seating areas and beautiful gardens you are welcome to enjoy. Have a fire in the fire pit, depending on it being a fire safe day, cannot be left unattended, needs to be well put out, wood is $10 a bundle. We are only a quarter mile above the ocean. Off a gravel road, close to Gualala and Point Arena, Stornetta lands, and surrounded by large acre parcels.
I live on the property, I stay in a cabin in the gardens with the dogs. We work in the gardens and tend the plants. We can help tend fires or help with the brick oven if needed. Not really suited to children under two.

Guest access
Main farmhouse is yours, fruit orchards and gardens you are welcome to enjoy. The farm, orchards and animals will be tended by us daily. Please be spare with electrical, and water usage. Irons, hair dryers work when sun is on the panels only- to be discussed . Back up generator . The house is not suitable to children under two.
I can be available to cook meals, show you walks, give gardening or cooking classes, if arranged in advance.

Other things to note
We appreciate you being careful with our off grid power when it’s dark, running off battery power, we expect you to be careful with lights and plugs. Especially after 10pm. The generator will kick on if you are using a lot of power.
When The Sun is on the panels most things work
Please tell your guests to follow the directions on the Airbnb site, GPS leads you on a wild goose chase to get here.
The wonderful equipped kitchen is our main farmhouse kitchen, it's used for canning, baking bread and our fruit processing and will have personal supplies, flour, canned goods etc in it. We do not use it during your stay. Please be respectful of our private items.
The cob house and or The Coop, on the same property may be rented during your stay, or can be included for an additional fee. These guests do not have access to the main house unless they are with your party.

During your stay
I live on the farm and will be working in the gardens daily also taking care of the animals needs. I will be available if something is needed. Please don’t take our dogs on walks. Tell them firmly to “stay”.
If your group would like to use the wood fired brick oven in the main kitchen I am happy to fire the oven with advance notice and for a fee.

I’m a master sourdough bread baker, professional gardener, and farm-to-table chef. I have several offerings to share with you during your stay if there is interest.... Sourdough bread making classes, gardening workshops, flower arranging with our garden flowers and/or I can make a farm-to-table meal for your group. Please contact me directly to inquire about my availability and fees.

Some nice add-ons to consider. Please let me know before your stay if you’d like to purchase any of these goodies.

Brick oven baked organic sourdough bread. $8/loaf
Organic coconut/ almond granola $9/quart
Organic Roseman Creek Ranch jam $8/half pint $15/pint
