Hidden off the street by a wild garden is my home. The house is centrally located in the heart of Cooper and Young. There are two bedrooms, a fully outfitted kitchen, bathroom, living room, and a laundry room. You can walk to Java Cabana for coffee, Young avenue deli for some pool and a beer, or Burke's bookstore to pick up something to read. On Saturday's we have a farmers market at First Congo Church.
Please play the Lowrey organ in the kitchen, or any of the guitars laying around, and feel free to ask me any questions if you want to know more.
Cooper Young is home to several great restaurants and bars all within walking distance of my home.
I would highly suggest renting a car during your stay in memphis if you don't already have one.

In Memphis? Do your trip a favor and add this little cottage to your itinerary. It is a charming little place that made me and my family (including the dog!) feel instantly at home. It's in a great neighborhood that is close to everything we were interested in seeing, and we even ended up changing some of our plans so we could stay in! Memphis itself is bursting with things to do and see, but I didn't expect that staying 'home' to drink wine, listen to records, and to play games would be one of the best highlights!
I should also mention that Jordan was a great host. He answered all of our questions right away, and all of his "things to do in Memphis" suggestions were top notch. We felt like locals!
Jordan is very accommodating and great with communication. The house is full of character and very comfortable. The location felt very safe and was even within a couple miles of Ardent Studios where we were recording.
This was a very eclectic, interesting house located in a wonderful neighborhood. It is easily accessible and not terribly for from downtown. It is an older home, however, so be advised if you book during the winter- it will be cold. The power also shut off three times during the first 2 hours after we arrived. We had to unplug several of his lights to ensure it didn't happen again. Also, this wasn't an issue for us, but there is no TV at the house. I think the records + record player make up for it! The price is competitive & the bed was very comfy. Definitely worth every penny.
We loved our stay at Jordan's house! We arrived in the early evening after a long flight from Sydney, and he had the heating and lights on for us. Everything about the house made us feel at home. The beds were very comfortable, and Jordan was always easy to communicate with, and was really great with tips of what to do in the area. We loved the Beauty Shop cafe, and Soul Fish, Goner Records, Java Cabana, Otherlands Cafe, Burke's books and 20/20 on Cooper St was great for take away home made food. We had everything we needed at Jordan's , our family of four were sad to leave, and I would definitely stay there again and recommend it as a place to stay if you want a very quiet, cosy, unique, well equipped place to stay! loved it. As we were overseas travellers, we didn't have a car for the few days we were there, and I would want one next time, as you would be able to go further afield. Having said that, there were plenty of places to eat and things to do for the few days we were there. Thanks Jordan for a great stay in your gorgeous cottage.
Jordan was very easy to communicate with and made sure we were comfortable in his place! His house was cozy and had great atmosphere.
The location is amazing and the house is charming. So eclectic and funky with all of the comforts of home. Jordan was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any questions that we had.
My husband Frank and I had a wonderful time staying at Jordan's bungalow. It was neat. clean, and very unique. There was so much to look at and to experience in the house. The decor was very unique and green (recycled, upcycled, repurposed) and there was such a variety of books, art.and musical instruments, etc., that it added to our overall very first visit to Memphis.
The house itself is almost like a mini museum. My husband is a musician and was beside himself with joy. He didn't know which musical instrument to play first.
This little house has something for everyone. If you want to be comfortable and entertained, then this is the place for you. Jordan is just a short text or phone call away if you need anything. We will definitely stay at Jordan's place again when we visit Memphis the next time.
We very beautiful accommodation with private interesanten many objects have felt like at home. overall a very positive experience
Nice, neat and interesting decor. Lots of books and interesting pictures to observe. We have traveled abroad several times and it was neat to stay in home where the person was well traveled also.
Overall good experience.
We've stayed at Jordan's place twice now and have loved it each time. Jordan is super-easy to get in touch with and very accommodating. His house is eclectic and funky, with two good-sized bedrooms, an adjoining bath, small living room and kitchen. Perfect for our needs. The neighborhood is safe, residential, easy to walk around in and close to cool restaurants and bars. I highly recommend Jordan and his house.
