Spent the weekend here for my wife's birthday and we had a great time. The property beautiful and a great place to sit and enjoy some wine. It is close to town making it convenient to get around but far enough to feel you way out in the country. Thank you for sharing your place.
The Conways and their guest house provided a perfect respite from the city. The Conways were incredibly hospitable and the overall ambience made for a lovely, relaxing holiday. I would definitely recommend staying here if you have the chance!
Impeccable, charming, lovely surroundings, perfect host--I strongly recommend this place if you want to get away from the crush of Santa Cruz tourism yet just be minutes from the beach.
We have a fabulous, relaxing time and the Conways were very generous hosts. We played croquet, drank wine, and fed llamas--it was a good time and we hope to return!
We had a fantastic experience. The hosts are the most gracious (great breakfast as EVERYone else has commented) but also super knowledgeable about great restaurants, hikes, and their llamas! Lots of wildlife in the back yard. Close to the beach, close to the mountains, breathtaking views-- we could not have been more pleased with the experience!!
My girlfriend and I stayed in Kelly's guest house over the Valentines day weekend. The guest house was beautiful and packed with little amenities left by our host Kelly. There were fresh bagels, fruit, and a very well stocked fridge. The location was fantastic 15 minutes from the beach. The guest house was warm and inviting we would definitely stay here again.
Kelly was very accommodating and even took us out to feed their llamas. Definitely a 5 star weekend.
Just returning from a wonderful weekend in Capitola. Conway surpassed my expectations as a host beyond belief. The directions and location couldn't be better. Located 5 minutes from downtown capitola and quite easy to find. The gated home was secure and private. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and chocolates. The refrigerator was stocked with all kinds of beverages and food. There was a complimentary breakfast ready for us the next morning. Obviously the llamas were a unique experience and Conway was more than happy to let us pet, feed, and learn more about the animals. Everything was extremely clean and fresh. I have nothing but great things to say about our experience.
What a lovely, clean and welcoming guest house! I was only sad I could not stay longer. Kelly accepted my friend and I to stay overnight super last minute, and was absolutely accommodating. There were so many helpful amenities and a delicious breakfast spread. If I wasn't on my way to a breakfast meeting, I would have enjoyed a nice meal on the patio and then headed down to meet the llamas. I will definitely be back to enjoy the Soquel Estate soon!
What a deeply lovely place! Kelly is the perfect host, I mean literally. She is the sweetest woman and was so accommodating to us despite our last minute changes throughout the trip. The space is very quiet and private, even on Superbowl Sunday! Totally a great space for a couple looking for some privacy.
The home is just so charmingly decorated with beautiful antiques, and everywhere you look it's just sparkling clean. Every container had a treat and the fridge had all these wonderful complimentary goodies! The frittata is seriously the only thing that got me up in the morning. Loving touches everywhere I walked and laid my eyes upon, truly fantastic!
The bed is very comfortable with plush blankets and nestled in a fairly spacious room. My favorite spot was the kitchen. Oh my goodness, I love that stove. Grill top and burner combo with a massive oven? Good God, Yes! I was in culinary heaven, and it was an unexpected treat! Nothing says weekend treat like candied roasted pumpkin and braised tacos.
I was unfortunately very ill and came down with pneumonia during the trip, so I wasn't comfortable enough to walk the grounds (it was raining) and missed the llamas. What I did see from the porch was very lovely. Definitely a well cared for property!
Next time for sure, though. We can't wait to visit in the summer! Thank you, Kelly!
Great stay, peaceful and a beautiful part of soquel! The conway's were very gracious and accommodating ; they let me use their bike, and wonderful to speak with when I saw them on the property. We had great fun feeding the llamas ( thank you!) and I look forward to visiting this location again! Kim
