Bill and his cozy one bedroom apartment couldn't be beat on a game weekend in State College. We were up for a football game and the location was perfect. The apartment was within easy walking distance to both the stadium and downtown and provided the perfect home base for a weekend full of activities.
The apartment itself is small but suitable for a short stay and includes all the amenities. There is no living room or common space which would be nice on a longer visit, but with a great location it's not a deal breaker by any means. The eat-in kitchen allowed us to cook small meals and the entire apartment was very well kept.
Bill was absolutely wonderful. He was always very responsive to any communication and didn't hesitate to accommodate our arrival and departure schedule restrictions. We were pleasantly surprised to find a fridge lightly stocked with some breakfast items although we came prepared with our own.
A fantastic apartment with a host to suite, a win-win on a football weekend!
The stay was great! William made us feel welcome and was flexible with our arrival time. The apartment was just as good as advertised. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Additionally, the kitchen was stocked with bagels, cream cheese, coffee, orange juice, and milk. That was really great and unexpected!
We went for a football game and the location is great. It was about a 15 minute walk to the tailgating. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet, but right next to campus, so the location is ideal.
Bill was a gracious host who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our accommodations were comfortable, well-maintained, and very clean. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. If traveling to the State College area, we highly recommend that you reserve with Bill.
House was clean and owner (William) was very accommodating. We were greeted when we arrived and even had the chance to say goodbye when we left. everything worked out well and we would definitely recommend this to others.
I stayed in William's apartment for three months while visiting the university, and it was a very pleasant experience. The apartment is quite clean and cosy, and the bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for simple meals; there's a fridge and freezer, oven, stove and microwave, plenty of china and some pots and pans - though some sharp knives would be a useful addition. Towels and extra bedding were also provided. Internet can be a little slow at times but always worked. The only (trivial) thing I missed was a comfy chair. The apartment is on the second floor and has its own staircase and front door onto the street, so it's very private. The house is quiet and located in a pretty, peaceful residential neighbourhood. Still, it's less than 10 minutes walking to the edge of the campus, and the stadium is also within easy reach. William and his family were very friendly and helpful, and always available when I needed something. Highly recommended.
