About this listing
Our cozy, antique bedroom awaits your stay in this beautiful old home in historical Alamo Placita neighborhood. You will be close to a number of great restaurants and a coffee shop, and conveniently located close to downtown, Washington Park and the highway.
The bedroom has a double bed, and closet and drawer space. The full bathroom is right next door. We can provide a light breakfast (cereal, toast, fruit) if requested or feel free to cook your own more hearty start to the day in our kitchen.
You will have your own bedroom and bathroom, and can use the living room, dining room and kitchen. Also there is a large back yard with a grill if you want to sit out too.
Interaction with Guests
We would be happy to provide you with any information or guidance about the neighborhood and city, but if you prefer more privacy just let us know! We will be here during your stay, and I work from home so will always be around during the daytime.
Our home is close to downtown, the golden triangle and Wash Park, also convenient for accessing I25. There are a number of great restaurants within walking distance and a great little coffee shop 100 yards away! There is a liquor store around the corner and Trader Joes and Safeways are only a few blocks east.
Our home is conveniently located for bus route 6, which runs east on 6th Ave and west on 8th Ave. Downtown is walkable in approx. 30 mins and there is a B-cycle rental stand less than a block away.
Other Things to Note
The bed is short and an antique (but very comfortable), so would recommend no larger than 6'/200lb!
No smoking, or pets. Please no heels on the wooden floors! And please take your shoes off at the door if they are wet/dirty.
Sally was a very welcoming host when I stayed with her for about two weeks before moving into my new place. The bedroom and bathroom were cute and clean and I felt that I had plenty of privacy. She is very sociable and introduced me to some great people and places in Denver.
Highly recommended! I really enjoyed my stay. The room is comfortable and conveniently located. Sally is a kind and thoughtful host.
I had another great stay with Sally! She is so welcoming and easy going, it's always a pleasure to stay at her home.
Enjoyed my stay with Sally. She is a friendly host providing very comfortable and neat accommodations. Her home is in a vibrant section of Denver, and enjoyed walking to restaurants and the art museum. Hope to stay with her again.
It was a very short stay but a lovely experience. Sally's home was clean, bright, tasteful and welcoming. She too was welcoming and professional. I will definitely plan to stay with her on future trips to Denver.
The room was nice and cozy. Sally was full of suggestions about things to do in and around Denver, which was very much appreciated! Thanks to her, I went hiking up the chautauqua trail and Rocky Mountain National Park on my last day there. She is a great conversationalist and made me feel very welcome and comfortable!
This was just my second airbnb experience and it was just wonderful! Sally is a perfect host, and made me very welcome. And the accommodation couldn't be better...a beautiful quiet house, an amazingly comfortable bed, a lovely private bathroom, and breakfast at my leisure. I had complete privacy while also enjoying chatting to Sally in the kitchen. A great experience and I will book well in advance for my next visit to Denver as I know Sally's place is deservedly very popular.
About the Host, Sally
I am British, but moved to the US 10 years ago. I moved to Denver 5 years ago and love all that it has to offer! Biking and hiking in the summer, skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
