This private studio apartment is modern and cozy. You are near the pool and nestled under a large walnut tree. There is space for you to store your bikes and luggage. You can walk or drive downtown in minutes to the Russian River Brewery.
I have a large, cozy and stylish studio apartment available to you! It has one Queen size bed and a sofa that folds flat into a single size bed, there is also a full size foam mat that sleeps 2. It is a converted craftsman 2 car garage with ample lighting- 2 skylights and large double glass doors. The main house is next door, but you will have much privacy. The back door opens into a small shared "pool room" and there you have access to our shared pool and patio area (only used May-Sept). The studio has been newly renovated and is clean and spacious. I have taken care to decorate it with some of my favorite items, and have stocked the kitchen and bathroom with all of the necessities. If you want to make a meal and are in need of any extra ingredients please text or just knock on my door! Wifi is included. There is a bathroom with a shower (no tub) right next to your room. You do need to leave the studio (via the pool room) to enter the bathroom, but only for literally 1 step and you remain indoors for this transition. The bathroom is only heated with a space heater. The bathroom is not shared, it's just for guests. Sorry, no dogs please.
Be aware that because we live nestled under large trees, you might see the occasional spider or bug.
I have a 2 night minimum for weekends, but Sunday through Thursday I am happy to host you for only 1 night.
I think you will love the stylish and cozy feel of this apartment. Although it looks and feels vintage, it underwent a major remodel several years ago and has a clean modern feel, without losing vintage charm. In the Summer months you can enjoy our backyard and swimming pool (with a great tube style water slide!), and feel free to BBQ and eat on the deck. There is a market 1 block away, and downtown Santa Rosa (RUSSIAN RIVER BREWERY) is a mere 8 blocks away.
Please see my other rooms and great reviews available down to the right. I have rented the room titled "Sweet Craftsman Near Downtown" the longest, so refer there for most of my positive reviews.
Railroad Square is the neighborhood a quick walk away where you will find restaurants & bars, coffee shops, 2 wine bars, antiques & thrift shops, and my yarn shop too!
(If we are hosting a beginning knitting class during your stay we would like to invite you to a free lesson.)
Beer & Wine:
The Russian River Brewery -they currently have the worlds #1 & #3 beers!!- is downtown, about a 20 minute walk or a 3 minute drive. Many of my guests are visiting Santa Rosa specifically to go to the Russian River Brewery!
Wine wine wine! You will have no trouble finding places to go wine tasting if that's your thing. I can refer you to some wineries if you want to go tasting.
The Joe Rodota Bike trail is a half block from our house, this trail will take you in many directions- to West County to ride the hills, or a quick jaunt downtown.
The Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel (where many conventions are held) is between our home & downtown, a 8-10 minute walk.
Santa Rosa is home to several exciting events- Levi's Grand Fondo bike race, finish line for The Amgen Tour of California, Wunderkammer, and more!
25 miles to the ocean- Highway 1 along this stretch is AMAZING anytime of the year.
San Francisco is about an hour South of us.
Healdsburg, Petaluma and Sonoma are quaint towns within 30 miles, Calistoga, Napa & St Helena within 60 miles.
Hundreds of wineries within a 60 mile radius!
Your studio has a full kitchen and bath. You also have access to a shared pool room space, and the pool itself.
Interaction with Guests
I don't interact much with studio guests, if we run into each other we just chat for a few moments. I am happy to be of assistance so you are free to message me anytime, I am right next door. You might see other Airbnb guests, me and my family, or my neighbors during pool season at the pool and in the small pool room by your room. The pool is a big hit with all and you are very welcome to join in on swimming time anytime!
My neighborhood is near Railroad Square- a 10 minute walk. Downtown is another 3 blocks past that. There are many restaurants and bars and shops in both areas. There is a concentration of Mexican restaurants and taco trucks in my neighborhood- the best Mexican food around!
You are very close to hwy 101, hwy 12 & within walking distance to downtown Santa Rosa.
Please make yourself at home!
The most important rule is do not let my dog out of the yard. She can not have access to the street.
Pleas text me if you have any questions. (phone number hidden)
Our trip was to visit our son who is away in college nearby, also make him some homemade food. So I was looking for a place that has a kitchen for that purpose. The studio has everything we needed, and Justine was very quick to respond when we have questions. It was very private and quiet. Thank you, Justine, for being a great host!
Justine was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed upon arrival, but then made sure we had our space and privacy which was nice. The listing was just as described. The poolside studio was very well appointed and charming. There was a list of local restaurants and other attractions on the table upon arrival which was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I had a lovely 2 days staying in the studio. Check in was very easy, and we enjoyed being able to walk to Russian River Brewing Co. The retro decor is a nice touch, adding a cozy feeling to the space.
Justine was still at the house when we arrived, so it was great to meet her and she was super accommodating with getting us set up. There were 5 of us, so I was a little worried that it would be a tight squeeze, but it ended up being a perfect fit! I loved the studio, and having access to the backyard made our experience even more delightful.
There was a grocery store and a few good restaurants just a couple blocks away, and it was a 5 minute drive to downtown Santa Rosa. My group was wine tasting in Sonoma that weekend, so the place was close enough to all of the vineyards that we went to so we did not have to do much driving. I would definitely come back here next time I am up in Sonoma!
We had a lovely stay, Justine was very relaxed and welcoming. The house was clean and comfortable.
The Sweet Poolside Studio was indeed Sweet!
Justine was an ideal host and myself and my two girlfriends/co-workers enjoyed the funky-fresh vibe:)
The location is close to downtown and provided easy access to night life and the freeway.
We all mentioned wanting to stay here again!!
The space was great! Exactly as expected, cozy, warm and perfect location for exploring Santa Rosa. We walked to dinner one night. Justine was very accommodating with our bikes and very nice when we met her. We found a list of recommendations and local interest on the table upon our arrival which was helpful.
