ENJOY SAUSALITO, MILL VALLEY & SF!
Free and easy parking in my driveway! Less traffic, more fun. :)
Private room with a private bath within walking distance to restaurants & hiking/biking trails.
This very spacious room has a vaulted ceiling and features an oversized plush-top queen-size bed and paintings from Maui. There is also an available folding futon on request if needed for a third guest at no additional charge.
Guests will have a space available to park in my driveway. In your room you will have a desk, where you can access our secured wifi network for the internet (code to access will be provided when you arrive). You will also have a dresser as well as a closet available to you to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Unlike many other room rentals in shared spaces, there is a shower/tub and dual sinks in the full bathroom that is accessed only within the bedroom for complete privacy.
We have NetFlix and hundreds of DVDs to choose from, or you can link up a Playstation or a Wii if traveling with children. You are also welcome to use the keyboard and guitars that are in the livingroom.
Guests are also welcome to access the kitchen for all cooking equipment, spices and condiments you need during your stay. There are also plenty of great local restaurants within walking distance, or a short drive away, if you prefer to eat out. You will be provided with a welcome guide book that will have maps, restaurant menus and other items to make finding what you are looking for easy.
We do have 2 very friendly kitties who may join you if you are in the living room, but will not be found upstairs in the bedrooms. If you are traveling with furry four-legged persons, some small pets may be considered for an additional cost of $25/pet (one time per visit, not per night). Please contact me for details/restrictions.
Interaction with Guests
There are no extra fees for cleaning or security deposit, those are just silly.
I am usually available to help as needed during your stay, but I also try to provide the privacy and freedom to move about the house to make it feel as much like your own home as possible. I am familiar with many of the local trails and restaurants, should you want more info about Southern Marin.
Feel free to contact me for any additional information so that I can help make your stay a memorable one.
We are in the small township of Marin City, just 2 miles to downtown Sausalito, 4 miles to Downtown Mill Valley, Tennessee Valley Trails or the Golden Gate Bridge, and less than 7 miles to Muir Woods or Downtown Tiburon.
Enjoy the convenience of being close enough to enjoy the best of Marin, Sonoma and San Francisco without as much traffic and congestion that can spoil the fun. We are just a few blocks from HWY 101, and just about a mile from the Marin Airporter pick-up & drop-off, which can take you to and from SFO. We are also just 2 blocks from public transportation that can take you South to San Francisco or North to Mill Valley, San Rafael & more.
If you are visiting the Bay Area from out of state, be sure to visit Wine Country while you are here, it is just an hour's drive north.
Other Things to Note
I am pretty flexible with arrival and departure times, but it is helpful to know what time you plan to arrive/depart so that I can arrange to greet you.
Keiko is a gracious, generous and warm host. She made sure that we had everything we needed - extra blankets, pillows, towels, soap, even a wine bottle opener! The neighborhood is safe and serene and the house clean and charming. I also enjoyed spending a bit of thought-provoking time sharing information and ideas. It was an inspiring experience!
Our experience with Keiko was all positive. Keiko is extremely welcoming and was happy to provide recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing in the area. She also has an extensive guidebook with restaurant menus, etc. When the fire alarm in our room starting beeping to indicate low battery, Keiko dealt with it immediately. Everything in the description of the room is completely accurate (the room was lovely, and Keiko even provided toiletry essentials) and we were extremely happy with our stay!
I highly recommend staying with Keiko.
Keiko was welcoming and helpful. She knows the local restaurants, and guided us well to a lovely dinner overlooking the water at Trident.
The home and room are fresh, clean and proudly Hawaiian themed!
Thank you, Keiko, for opening your home to us!
I stayed here overnight for a conference nearby. This was a lovely, large suite-like clean private room in a clean home. The bed was comfortable. The neighborhood felt safe. Keiko was a gracious and welcoming host even though I checked in late after a conference and left early. I would return and I recommend it highly.
This is a very nice place. Keiko is a awesome host, very kind and friendly. We enjoyed our stay here. I will recommend this place for others.
Keiko was very gracious in accepting us in her home. We had a wonderful time in Sausolito and it was great to have a place right next to downtown to crash into after a long day of walking around. The room was very clean and cosy.
Our host Keiko, was very attentive and communicative with us from the beginning of our stay, until the end. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. She provided all the toiletries, in the event you required body soap or shampoo. Her recommendations for eating out were well received. Thank you Keiko for making our stay memorable.

I am an easy-going California native, and spend my extra time in my vegetable garden, crocheting or reading. I have lived in Marin for over 20 years and know many great local restaurants as well as walking paths & trails.
As a host, I always put my guests first, and they are welcome to use anything in the kitchen to cook with, or to help feel at home. I enjoy having conversations with guests so I can learn about other fantastic places, furthering my curiosity to explore new cities and countries in my own travels.
Travel is near and dear to my heart, and I believe it is one of the greatest educations one can partake in. When I travel, it is often with my best friend or my two children. My favorite places to go are places off the beaten path and love it when I discover a wonderful new mom-and-pop restaurant or two on my trips. My ambition is to one day see every state and visit as many countries as possible in my lifetime, and share it with others through photography. Hoping Airbnb can help to be my vehicle for making this possible.
~*~Some of the funds I receive from my Airbnb listings are being used to save toward my family's next compassion project or trip. Last year we helped to build a school out of recycled plastic bottles in Guatemala! :) ~*~
I work to promote compassion, and am using Airbnb to help me to help others. I appreciate you staying with us, and supporting our efforts. Happy and safe travels fellow sojourners.
