A tranquil eco friendly 2 br garden apartment perfect for a relaxing holiday in the heart of Bondi Beach. Nestled in the leafy quiet end of Hall Street, this private apartment has been renovated based upon eco-design principles.
The "Hello Yello" apartment (named for the splashes of vibrant yellow – my favourite colour – incorporated into the decore) features natural finishes throughout, polished wooden floors and mid-century modern furniture. Designer lights interplay with re-purposed objects (such as a 70s airline trolley pantry) adding to the character and sense of consideration that permeates the apartment.
Catch the sunset or enjoy the morning bird song
The Yello has a 2 bedrooms with a comfy queen beds and a kitchen/dining room that opens via french doors to a court-yard featuring ferns, other ornamentals and a tiered vegetable garden. The second bedroom leads on to the sun drenched deck and is large enough to include a lounge & writing nook.
Pick some herbs or salad ingredients on your way in - or enjoy a relaxing breakfast in the dappled sunlight reading the paper and breathing in the smell of the garden while dining on fresh organic eggs from our hens out back.
Bondi only 5 minutes away!
Venturing out to Bondi's buzzing cafes and small bars takes all of a couple of minutes and the beach is only a further 5 minutes away. After the beach grab your racquet and enjoy a game of tennis at the private courts adjoining the property, or stroll across a block and catch the bus service into the city.
It's tranquility with convenience, and all done with the planet and your well-being in mind.
You have access to the sun deck out back and the front courtyard.

I stayed at the Eco Garden for a business trip and David and his wonderful place made it feel like a holiday. Fresh eggs and bread were supplied, the flat was gorgeous, clean and stylish, and we enjyed sitting out on the decking in the early evening.
David was a fantastic host and I would certainly recommend staying at his apartments.
Beautiful apartment in a great location - quiet and residential, but a two minute walk from the cafés and shops of Bondi. Our three year old loved the chickens and bees in the back garden, and we loved the fresh organic bread delivered a couple of times during the week we stayed there. David and Lu were great hosts and gave us lots of tips and maps to find 'locals' places, and even brought around a bucket and spade for our daughter to borrow. Definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful time in the Eco Garden 'Hallo Yello' apt, Bondi Beach. David is a very friendly and helpful host. The appartment is nice but quite dark, so it's very good to have the possibility to use the Commons area with a kitchen/dinningroom and a beutiful terrasse/garden. The house includes other guests and is located in a very 'green' part of Bondi, still close to the Beach and restaurants, which makes the place very much 'alive'. If we come back, we would love to stay there again.
David and his crew are extremely helpful and were always a text or email away for anything I needed. I enjoyed the delicious, healthy breakfast on hand, which included fresh/local eggs, bread, honey, muesli, milk, and butter. It made for the perfect wake-me-up during my stay.
Overall, though, I was saddened by the lack of light in the apartment. The photos are brilliant, but the experience is a bit more basement-like, as the apartment sits below sidewalk-level. Since my key purpose for the trip was to spend time on the beach and in the sun, I was just a bit disappointed that the apartment lacks light, compared to other options in the area, especially at the price. Furthermore, I didn't realize originally that the chicken coop area with the hammock, as well as all outdoor seating, is shared. I was hoping to get some quality me-time, but didn't really utilize the outside spaces, since they were shared between multiple other units. I know, that sounds anti-social, hehe. But just wanted to put it out there, that it wasn't what I was expecting or looking for. So, I was a bit surprised.
In the end, though, hanging out with some hens in a suburban Bondi setting was a great experience that I'm glad I was a part of. I wouldn't stay there in the future, since I prefer to have a better lit apartment, closer to the action. But if this review sounds totally picky to you, it may still be the place for you!!
Lovely. Really handy and David was very helpful.
A very friendly welcome to well equipped apartment. Fresh eggs in the morning from resident chickens!
Very handy for the beach and our dawn concert experience.

About the Host, David
I am an entrepreneur passionate about design and how it can be used to inspire change. I love working on projects that make a real difference to peoples lives and, in particular, experiencing the incredible impact it can have at the local level re-building connections while we transition to sustainable communities. I have 4 beautiful Rhode Island Red hens and 2 busy bee hives and must admit i'm slightly addicted to eggs and honey. My guests tend to leave that way too!
