I have 2 cats and 2 dogs, we all live together in peace. I'm not here much since I run an organic raw food/juice bar.
Close to University of Kentucky and 3 health food stores and cafes.
Meditative walls, rustic and eclectic...with a bit of fun thrown in. I provide clean sheets and towels. The bathroom is shared. Haven't run into any problems so far!
Guests have wi-fi, TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime movies. NO cable. Full use of kitchen and equipment, blender, microwave and oven, etc...
Also washer and dryer in basement and sunken patio and large back yard.
Interaction with Guests
I'm not around a lot, but love to meet and learn things from everyone. I love intelligent, open minded discussion.
Old school quiet suburbia, big trees, very safe, older retired people, younger families and lots of dogs.
Bus is 6 blocks away, located on Nicholasville Road. I'm always happy to give a ride or pick up and drop off at airport when I'm available.
Other Things to Note
My partner is a raw Paleo guy. Yup, raw meat. It doesn't bother me although I lean toward a vegan diet. He does it for health reasons. We both believe processed foods are not the best thing.
If you're friendly, a good communicator and open minded we should get along fine. I ask that you be considerate and not leave lights on or fan running in your room when you are not here.
JoAnn was awesome! She's extremely kind and a great host. She definitely made me feel at home. The place was just as described and the bed was very comfortable. As a bonus, she also has very lovely pets. I'll definitely try to stay again if I'm passing through Lexington.
Incredible stay! Comfy bed. Wonderful conversation. Clean, considerate and laid back. Art around every corner. Pictures don't do it justice. Highly recommended staying here. I wish I could have stayed longer.
JoAnn is a very kind and welcoming host. We immediately felt at home in her beautiful house. The room is comfortable and cozy. We especially enjoyed playing with her 4 friendly and well-mannered pets (2 cats and 2 dogs).
Oh, my, what a wonderful experience staying with JoAnn was! I arrived on Dec 31, and she invited me to join her at a fab-u-lous New Year's Eve party. Ya can't get more welcoming than that. If I lived anywhere near the Lexington area, I have a high degree of confidence that we would become good friends. Excellent conversation, wonderful home. The bedroom was private, with a very comfortable bed (and an optional cat). Fast wifi, offered breakfast, even. If I am ever in Kentucky again, I will see about visiting again.
Great place - very fortunate to have Joann pick me up from the airport as I arrived on a late flight as well as have dinner for me at the location. Highly recommended to stay here!

I run an organic, vegan, raw food and drink bar. I pretty much live there, so not home much. I love a good movie, hiking, eating and making nutritious food. I like laughing and having a good time. Learning new things and meeting a wide range of people.
