A place to relax, a place to chill. It’s all set up for you in this magnificent country property, set in exquisite countryside in the foothills of the southern side of the Tramuntana mountains. Stone exteriors and interiors, plus impossibly high ceilings of the hall-cum living room create a cool atmosphere to escape the mid-day sun. The house is called “Roure”, or oak – and along with the flag stoning, this is what sets the tone of the interiors. Lovely touches such as coloured fan lighting, and items of antique furniture attest to the exquisite taste of this marvellous retreat. A lovely oak mezzanine leads to the upstairs bedrooms. A good mix of double and twin rooms offers the chance for everyone to make themselves at home how they want to. And all the rooms are worth fighting over! Natural stone interior walls, latest generation bathrooms with high quality decorative tiling and marble surfaces, plus walk-in showers.Splendid country kitchen, beautiful fireplace.
Ample veranda to enjoy the mountain views in furniture that invites relaxation. Lawned area and Mediterranean gardens with plenty of greenery, although of course the focal point is the fabulous and elegant pool.
This house breathes wellbeing and offers space to relax, even for larger groups of eight, or twelve if the guest house is also to be included. The extremelypretty little guest house sleeps 2 plus 2 and has its own sitting room.
Mancor (not to be confused with the city of Manacor, some 27 miles away!) is a beautiful and authentic little village nestling in the foothills of the Tramuntana mountains. A rich cultural history and proximity to ancient oak forests makes this a worthwhile place to base a holiday. Local restaurants are excellent and there are several historic villages in the vicinity to explore, including Caimari, olive capital of the island.
A full description of this property would amount to a novel: it would be better to come and experiencethe oaken peace in person.
