The house is located 12 minutes from JR Yamate station, 8 minutes from the subway, Motomoachi/Chukagai station. It's not located along the street and the guest has to climb around 20 steps to reach the house. Then the room is on the 3rd floor. It's in a quiet residential area, a couple of minutes to Seven Eleven, and to Motomachi and China town where the guest will find lots of places to eat and drink. Nice jogging courses around.

The apartment is very convenient for my purpose of stay since its just 5 minutes walk to my workplace. I have no problem going to shops and restaurants and since I do not shop much, I find Akiko's place very suitable to my style. My host displayed great hospitality and was always helpful in providing me with information I needed and she even showed me around Yokohama town, Tokyo Tower and many other popular spots. My stay at her place was really a good experience and I am definitely going to stay at her place again if I visit Japan in the future.

Akiko is one of the most open people I have ever met. And of the most easy-going, of the most liveful, of the most beautiful. The place is worth spending some time of your life, juste because of her presence and of the special time she is always generously ready to share with you.

My daughter and I decided to go to Yokohama last minute. I booked to stay with Akiko that morning, and she responded within a few hours, saying we could stay. We really appreciated the last minute accommodation. The home was lovely and Akiko was very kind and welcoming. The bed and blankets were very comfortable. She also made us a nice breakfast in the morning . I would recommend staying with her to anyone

Hi Jackie, Thank you ver much for staying here. Since I cannot see my own grandchild due to the distance regularly, it was very nice to have you, two. Please drop by sometime with your husband.

Akiko was kind and caring. She picked me up at the station, told me about the neighborhood, showed me around her huge house and even offered to guide me around Kamakura. Akiko's house is lovely. As mentioned above, it's enormous, but more importantly, it's conveniently located near the nicer areas of Yokohama and really feels like home. I would definitely recommend staying at Akiko's place whenever you have the opportunity to visit Yokohama.

I started Airbnb because of my son's advice, and have been quite enjoying having interesting guests. I do not do instant booking and want to exchange some mails in between me and my guest/s since this is not a hotel not a B & B.
I teach a marcial art, Aikido, twice a week and love tennis and hikes. I also love music and have a sound proof studio, which is welcome to be used by those who take care of.
