About This Listing
Amazing location, right on the edge of the city positioned with Pheonix Park on one side and the River Liffey on the other. The apartment is in a secure well-maintained development, made up of three-storey red-brick buildings, surrounded by mature gardens, hidden away from the main road.
Female Guests Only - No Males (sorry)
The apartment is spacious and clean, consisting of a living room with a balcony over-looking a section of the gardens, a well equipped kitchen with dining table, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with bath and electric shower.
I live in the apartment full time, and my boyfriend is generally here 1 night during the week and at the weekends (his work is outside of Dublin). I work weekdays so I'm gone during the day but will be in the apartment in the evenings and at the weekend.
When you come to stay with me you will have your own private single bedroom, with bedside table and lamp and a section of the wardrobe for storing you belongings. I will provide fresh bed linen and towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and the makings of a basic continental breakfast (cereal, bread, butter, milk, fruit, juice, tea & coffee).
Transport is excellent for getting into town. A two minute walk to the main road will have you on a bus straight into the city centre - Temple Bar, Henry St, O’Connell St, Trinity College, Dame St, Grafton St and the many tourist attractions these have to offer (approx. 10-15 mins). The same two minute walk will bring you into Phoenix Park where you can find Dublin Zoo and Áras an Uachtaráin, and if you’re lucky you might stumble across some deer.
A 15 minute walk will have you at Hueston Train Station and the Luas which runs right into town and connects to the DART line if you fancy checking out one of the beaches along the coast.
If you are female (sorry guys) and would like to see more pictures of the apartment then send me a message along with any other questions you may have and I’ll get back. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
I lived in Charlene's house for 5 nights, it was a clean and warm house. Charlene was welcoming and really helpful. She provided me her hairdryer and also suggested me to turn on the heater since weather back in cold again. Charlene also helped me to check the short term Game of thrones tour, but I didn't have enough time to manage another tour. Charlene make me feel like a friend more than a landlady:) All in all, this is my best experience in airbnb, I'll live in here again next time I visit Dublin!
Charlene was a great superhost! This was my first time using Air bnb and visiting to Dublin so I worried about a lot of things. But everything was perfect because of her! She was very helpful and welcoming. I really thanks to her for everything. :D
Her place was lovely and have a beautiful view. Also convenient location. The room was cozy and nice. I love that see a peaceful view from the room's small window!
I highly recommend stay with her especially for a girl traveling alone and I would definitely stay again!
Charlene was a great host. There was plenty of communication before hand and she made sure I knew the bus routes from where I was arriving and her apartment. She was very welcoming and offered advice on things to do if I needed it. There was a very good balance of being available to chat, but also giving me space (which was one of my concerns when sharing an apartment with a stranger).
The room was as described. It was a little chilly out during my visit, but a space heater was provided and could heat up the room in under 15 minutes. The location is great; there is a bus stop right outside the complex and a number of lines will take you straight into the city center.
All in all, highly recommended.
Charlene was a wonderful host and I had a very pleasant time with her. The flat is located in a very quiet residence, just opposite beautiful Phoenix Park where I went for a jogging one morning and encountered a couple of deers ! Really peaceful. The flat is very cosy and clean. It's well connected to the centre with several busses passing just in front of the residence, and it's also within walking distance. Most of all, Charlene was very friendly : we had very friendly chats, she lent me a charger as I had forgotten mine, I felt free to come and go as I pleased, and she even woke up terribly early on my last morning to ensure I didn't miss the taxi ! Altogether a very nice stay that made me feel just like home
About the Host, Charlene
Heya!! I’m 28 years old, originally from the countryside but have been living in Dublin for 10 years now. I came to Dublin to go to college and have been working here since I finished my degree 5 years ago.
I've decided to go travelling sometime in the next year or two and have realised that I need to start planning ahead and saving now to make that happen, and with my spare bedroom not being used very often, I thought Airbnb might be a good way to help other people out with their travels while learning about other countries and trying to fund my own travels.
Dublin Bus 747 from Airport arrives here and departs from here. Its a 15minute walk to my apartment or a 5 minute taxi drive
