Rose Bay/Bellevue Hill (we are on the border) are some of the most sought after suburbs in Sydney. Its all about location, being close enough to the action, whilst being far enough away to be able to relax in quiet, leafy surrounds without being surrounded by the concrete of the city (which is actually only 10 mins away by taxi). In one direction you would be a 5 minute stroll along beautiful, quiet and leafy tree lined streets to the stunning Sydney Harbour and Rose Bay. There are 8 cafes/restaurants (Pizzeria, Indian, Japanese, Modern Australian) located at the well-known Plumer Road village shops within 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Woolhara Golf Course (Public 9 hole) is also only a 5 minutes walk away. In the other direction you are a 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk to the world famous and very colourful Bondi Beach which is a buzz of activity and a great place to simply relax in the sun, sand and surf or hang out at beachside bars, restaurants and cafes and watch the world go by. There's plenty of shopping there too!
Public Bus is at the doorstep to the CBD (20mins) or Bondi Junction (7 mins) where Westfields shopping centre is located and many other shopping highlights can be found. Rose Bay Ferry terminal is 7 minutes walk and a perfect opportunity to get out on Sydney Harbour and get into the city. The first ferry stop is glamorous Double Bay, then as you round the bend the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the stunning Opera House soon appears as you glide past and stop at Circular Quay, where you are then located right in the heart of the city and the historical Rocks district.
Amenities within 5 minutes of the apartment:

Please respect it like you would your own place. Its our home and we are leasing it out for a short period over Christmas New Year while we are overseas. If you spill things clean it up. Try not to play music too loud after 10pm and before 9am. Our neigbours are nicve people but please remember you are in an apartment block and other people deserve to enjoy the comfort of their own space without music blaring out all hours of the night.
From the beginning Paul was nothing but helpful. He left very valuable information that even a regular Sydney visitor would benefit from. Local Knowledge!! Rose Bay it self is very nice. There's no shortage of Mercs and BMWs and a few Ferrari's around also! We ate at Bernasconi Cafe down the street twice and can say the coffee, breaky and lunch was all awesome! The bus is almost at the front door and ferry 15 mins walkaway. So everything is just around the corner!!
Paul's apartment has everything a couple or family could need after a long day exploring the sights of Sydney. The main bed was very good! We couldn't have asked for more! Highly recommended!!!
I had the pleasure of staying in Paul's beautiful Apartment in Sydney!
The place is located in Bellevue Hill which is the most amazing suburb of Sydney a stones throw from Rose bay and a short drive from Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte beaches.
Paul was very friendly and helpful during our stay even updating us about up coming events that week in the area.
We were greeted with an information pack which included bus timetables/routes, Sydney guides, maps and places of interest around the city and surrounding areas.
I was able to contact the host easily during our visit with quick response times to any queries I had.
Paul's Apartment was a great choice and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, great spot just outside of the city.
Thanks again Paul.
We stayed in Paul's lovely home in Sydney for a week in early January and it was a great way to start our holiday and our year! The place was very clean and tidy, spacious and light, as good as the photos! It is very peaceful and stays cool due to the leafy aspect. The location was brilliant with a bus stop right at top of street so it is easy to avoid some of the hills if necessary. It is a beautiful location at rose bay and great area to stay in Sydney. However what really made our trip was the massive amount of info we got from paul in our welcome pack. He really did go above and beyond what is expected, he provided info on the local area, logistics of getting around like public transport specifics so there was no guess work or research needed for bus tix etc, he did it all for us. We thought we had our trip planned but when we read Paul's detailed suggestions on the area we took his advise and these were the definite highlights of our trip!! Take his advise and Definitely do the hermitage walk to Nielsen park beach and Strickland house, and Murray rose pool/beach.
Paul was a fantastic host, very flexible and accommodating when I needed to change our trip dates at the last minute! He responded to any comms very fast and was overall very efficient. A great stay. Thanks!!!
We enjoyed staying in Paul’s clean and tidy apartment. Paul is very friendly and well organised host.
He has written all the information in order, about inside the house, how to use utensils etc. etc.. He gave us very clear instructions about Sydney , transport and places where we have to visit and they are very clear and useful to new comer. In case of emergency or for any reason, he responds without any delay. After I made the booking, he rang me few times to give instructions about Sydney. He is very hospitable.
I recommend anyone Paul’s apartment without any hesitation. Thank you very much Airbnb team for assist me to find places in anywhere safe and comfort. You are very reliable and very efficient web team. Keep up your reputation and I wish you all the very best for NEW YEAR 2014!
