About This Listing
My place is a traditional village house with a large garden and a modern interior, next to the small fishing port of the scenic village of Kolybari. It's spoted between Chania town, Balos, Phalassarna, Elafonisi and Palaiochora. Quiet, clien, perfect for relaxation, swimming, and taste traditional crete food.
The accommodation is very pretty on the outside and it is nice to sit and have some wine under the grape vine. The location is also very strategically located for exploring western Crete. Dimitris is a very accommodating host and eager to help with anything you may need. It is definitely worth visiting his wine bar in Chania too. A couple of small things, as we were the first ppl there this season it was a little musty and damp in the room and there were quite a few insects as a result.
Dimitris is a very nice host. He gave us a lot of helpful recommendations and tips for places to visit. Also it's worth visiting his bistro in Chania.
The place in Kolymbari is simple and a good basis to visit the west of Crete. Maybe a bit chilly in Spring but surly perfect in summer.
Dimitris was very welcoming and gave us loads of helpful recommendations.
His place was just as shown in the photos and we had a very pleasant week there. Well sited by the harbour, quiet, easy to park, near restaurants and local services. Excellent value for money.
Dimitris was a very good host, always approachable and very easy to communicate with. His recommendations for the island were superb and very helpful and although we never met in person, he made our stay more comfortable and was always there. The house is remote, so perfect if you want to get away for a couple of days and detoxify from the the fast city-life. We enjoyed Kolympari as a location as well. Try their Argentina restaurant (is not Argentine, but is very very good)!
I spent 10 wonderful days in the studio of Dimitris. Is situated in a strategic location, close to all the most interesting and beautiful places to see in western Crete. In the home of Dimitris there is the minimum required to stay. The house is cozy but perhaps there are too many cats arround and the garden, which would be great for breakfast and dinner, it's to fix. For the rest, the village is quiet and there is everything you could need.
Staying at the little studio at Kolymbari was great. We stayed here for two weeks. It's only a couple of minutes to the restaurants and easy to park the car around the house. We loved eating in the garden during breakfast. Everything works fine and it was big enough for the both of us.
