Lien was a terrific hostess! Definitely over extended herself for us and made us feel completely welcome and comfortable. We booked her place for only a night but ended up staying with her for most of our time in Vietnam. She gave us great tips and information about where to go and how to get there, as well as helped us to book all of our tours to Halong Bay and Sapa.
My friend had gotten sick and Lien even got her medicine. She cooked many meals for us and her food was wonderful!
The room was tidy and comfortable with a tv, refrigerator which she had stocked, clean comfortable bed, and a private bathroom.
She really did make it feel like home. I would recommend Lien for anyone traveling to Vietnam. She truly is the BEST!! Miss her already...
Staying with Lien was a wonderful experience. She made us feel very welcome, with plenty of help with our travels. The room was large and very comfortable. She stocked it with fresh fruit and other snacks. She made us delicious breakfasts in the morning and dinner on our last night. Her home is in a quiet neighbourhood in Long Bien District. We thought it was much nicer than staying in the Old Quarter. You have to travel 15 minutes to get to the Old Quarter. It's about (phone number hidden) VND by taxi or 7,000 VND by bus. Buses are very frequent so it's easy. Thank you Lien from Daniel and Helena :)
Lien was a very caring and wonderful host. She helped me organise my trip and gave me a lot of local knowledge. The room was great, was nice and peaceful, definitely recommend!
"Does what is says on the tin"! A jewel within a crown. Liên is a great host. She is warm, friendly and professional. Her home is a exactly what you see in the pictures. It's 5km from Hanoi centre, cost is about £3 and it takes less than 10 minutes in a small taxi. For me the centre was exhilarating and crazy in the same breathe. Liên's home offered respite from the chaos. She also offered sightseeing tips, organised my day to Ha long bay and cooked me breakfast and dinner. Great home. I look forward to staying again. Did I mention she can also arrange a pick up from the Airport, which is a 30-40 minute drive on good new roads.
Lien, our host was very responsive to our needs right from day 1. She was able to answer any questions (and we had a lot) about the big city of Hanoi. She provided a good map on how to get to the bus that takes you right into the old quarter. We usually took a taxi home after a long day of exploring, shopping and eating, and if the taxi got lost, she was always available by phone (the driver always had a phone). Lien's home is located in a quiet and interesting area. There is a main/busy street an easy walk away with a much more local (less touristy) feel with lots of shopping and "local" restaurants. There is also a Mega Mall near by if you feel like that kind of shopping experience.
Lien's rooms are just like the pictures. Very clean and tidy and lots of space to spread out. We had a great experience in Hanoi and it had a lot to do with how comfortable we felt at this guest house.
I had a great time staying with Lien. She was friendly and very accommodating.
She made sure that my stay, even though very short was a comfortable one.
I appreciated that she provided me with dinner and breakfast and organized my tour to Halong Bay.
I would definitely recommend staying with Lien if you ever get the chance.
Our family spent 10 nights at Lien's place. Our boys loved her place. Lien is extremely hospitable and thoughtful. The rooms are spacious and clean with a fridge stocked full of beverages and snacks. She made us a delicious dinner on our first night and also invited us to join her family for a pre-Xmas dinner. What was surprisingly was breakfast was included in the room rates too! Breakfast was prepared when we were ready and always served piping hot.
Not only is she a good host but she also provided advice and tips and helped call a taxi whenever we needed. On top of that she also helped to do our laundry!
As we had an early flight, she packed a big bag of snacks and beverage for our trip. She made our stay at Hanoi really memorable with her warmth and sincerity. On of the few wonderful friends we made here.
Highly recommended especially if you are travelling with family as she has 2 large rooms and good wifi connection!

My house was built in early 2010, not for renting out at first until suggestion from my friends, then I started thinking that i need some people for cultural exchange.
