About This Listing
This room with private bath and queen bed overlooks the back yard. Serene at night, sunlight during the day. Next to the kitchen, with an entry right next to back door and south patio. A large closet, bookshelves and desk for storage.
Very pleasant room upstairs with a private 3/4 bathroom and lovely queen sized bed.
This room is off the kitchen, adjacent to the side patio entry. A large west window overlooks the yard. No discreet entrance, but the room itself has plenty of privacy.
Inviting, artistic space inside and outside the house. Patios on two sides for relaxing and enjoying my park-like yard.
No smoking in the house but outside is acceptable. Off street parking.
Lovely older neighborhood, excellent location; minutes from downtown and the foothills, a few blocks from RTD bus stop and the W light rail. Near major shopping, restaurants, grocery and cultural venues: Belmar, Lodo, Highlands, Golden, NREL, Downtown. Great for a business trip, visit to several nearby colleges, or Colorado sightseeing year round. I have hosted guests from around the world in my home!
Access to the main kitchen, patios, living room if you like and the yard. There is space in the frig and freezer for food; some in the garage frig, too.
Parking is in the driveway or in front of my house.WiFi available.
Interaction with Guests
I interact as much as folks like. Usually, I am around to chat, maybe share a meal upstairs, or just catch up on details.
I share my kitchen with guests in the Garden Room, but try not to disturb privacy. The arrangement is part roommate/part semi-private apartment. The entrance next to the room makes it so that guests can come and go easily.
I do love the peace and quiet of my home. Please, no loud music or TV in common areas. Guests who like a peaceful environment are very happy here!
Trees, gardens, friendly neighbors, safe yet close to the city attractions, views of the mountains, charming homes and quiet neighborhood!
This is an ideal location with RTD two blocks away, LightRail system 5 blocks away to downtown or malls, and daily shopping within walking distance of home. Also, the Open Space nearby is a great escape to mountain views and walking trails in the middle of the city. It's a special feature of this neighborhood. Close to two rec centers and several parks.
Other Things to Note
I ask that guests not invite others without discussing plans ahead. Also, no overnight guests or late night socializing. This room is for one guest unless there is a prior arrangement.
No smoking inside, but outside patios may be used with care for smoking.
Quiet after 10 p.m. No loud music or entertainment. No drugs. Guests renting the Garden Room upstairs have access to kitchen and patios. Use of laundry room with consideration for the privacy of guests downstairs. There is plenty of opportunity to do laundry without disturbing anyone. Just be considerate, and everyone will be happy!
The host was fantastic! Her house is lovely, inviting, she makes me coffee in the morning and we even sit to chat! I feel like a roommate here not a guest! I love having my own bathroom and the room is quaint, airy and full of light which is all pluses in my book. No doubt when I am in transition again in the future I will be staying here!
Anne is a wonderful person. During the whole time of my internship in Golden, we had very interesting conversations and it was always fun to share my experiences with her. On the day of my arrival, she showed me very interesting places close to her house and she even gave me a ride to my company on my first day of the internship. I cannot explain how I appreciate all her tips and help during my time in Colorado.
Anne's house is perfectly located in Lakewood between Denver and Golden.
It is only a 10 minutes walk to the light rail station, so that it is possible to reach downtown Denver without a car in less than half an hour. The house is also perfect for people who work in the Denver West area or at NREL, since it is only a 5 minutes walk to the bus stop. The rooms look exactly like they appear on the photos, so that you will feel very much at home when you're staying with Anne. In addition, the neighborhood is pretty quiet and totally safe.
All in all, I can only recommend to stay at Anne's house when you search for a place in the Denver area and I hope that I can come back in the next years.
Anne is a wonderful, friendly lady. She is willing to do whatever to make your stay a comfortable one. Her place is very conveniently located very convenient to access by public transportation plus bike paths are all around. She has a gorgeous and roomy house, very nicely furnished and it has wonderful artwork to gaze at. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. I would highly recommend. Excellent value too!
Anne was a great host and made me feel like I was at home. Location was great, a nice quiet neighborhood. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Anne has a remarkably "country" home convenient to most things urban in Denver. Walking distance to new public transportation. The "W" line light rail system.
As well, it is at the gateway to the Rocky Mountain Front Range. You can drive into the canyons west of Golden or Morrison in just a few minutes.

About the Host, Anne
I don't think I can live without good friends, fresh air and exercise, peace and quiet, beauty in art and nature, and good books. Great films are a plus.
My garden is one of my favorite spots, and the nearby lake and open space. Walks keep me active close to home. Although home and family are here in Colorado, I often travel to visit friends in New Mexico, Kansas and Texas. I love Italy, Hawaii, and Chile. I'm a third generation Colorado native, so I know my beloved home state very well. I also have lived in Chile, Washington, Minnesota, California and Hawaii. My houseguests have come from all continents, and ten languages have been spoken in my house.
I am relaxed, patient and live a simple though full life. I enjoy people who are respectful, open-minded and genuinely interested in others and in the world around them. Having traveled a lot, in many conditions and locations, I know how much it means to have a peaceful place to rest when in transit.
People love the restful atmosphere of my home, yard and neighborhood.
I enjoy sharing it!
