Centrally located, this suite comfortably fits 4 people (1 queen bed, 1 full sleeper sofa) but could fit 5 or 6 with space for an air mattress if needed. You will have your own entrance in the back, a full kitchen (refrigerator, stove-top oven, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle), free wi-fi, cable t.v., and gas fireplace. Other Things to Note
This is the basement of our home in a family neighborhood so don't be surprised if you occasionally hear a dog bark, a chicken cluck, or a baby's faint cry. We have done everything we can to make the space as soundproof as possible but life still happens.
Our check in time is anytime after 3:00 pm and our check out time is anytime before 11:00 am. If for some reason you need some flexibility let us know and we will try our hardest to accommodate you the best we can.
Please treat our space with respect. Our desire in hosting is to provide a clean, comfortable place for you to relax and feel at home for an affordable price! Because of this, we don't tag on fees for extra people or cleaning. Please help us by leaving the space picked up. And if you have the time, doing your dishes before you leave is a huge help to us. Thank you!
We had a wonderful stay at Emily and Andrew's place. We were travelling with our younger son for a family get-away, and we all enjoyed the space. He loved the chickens and the basketball court, and we loved the coziness of the space and the home-like feel. We felt so welcome. Emily and Andrew have obviously put a lot of thought into what would make guests feel comfortable and at home - things like the Kuerig machine, granola bars, bottled water, etc. They gave us great tips on things to see and do in St. Louis. When we come back, we would definitely stay with them again. The space was exactly as advertised, and the neighborhood was great. It has a great urban feel and was really central to everything we wanted to go - all our destinations were a quick drive away. Definitely a great place to stay and a great value!
I cannot say enough good things about this place! This was our second visit and it was every bit as perfect as the first. Emily and Andrew are wonderful hosts. They have the perfect balance of taking care of everything you need, truly caring about your visit, and giving you all the space and privacy you want. The space itself is cozy (but not small), warm, and welcoming . . . and very kid-friendly. It truly feels like a home away from home. I hope we never have to stay in a hotel again! It just doesn't compare. We love having everything we need to cook our own meals (but Emily and Andrew have put together a thoughtful, honest St. Louis guidebook with restaurant suggestions for times when you're eating out), we love the large selection of books and board games (there are movies, too, but we never seem to get to those!), and we love the neighborhood and the location. It was easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go. If you are going to St. Louis, I highly recommend staying here. You won't be sorry! We can't wait to go back!
We absolutely loved staying here!!!! It was so clean and nicely decorated. Emily and Andrew are so kind and are very hospitable. The place is such a great location and cute neighborhood! It's so close to Forest Park and not too far from the city. We can't wait to stay here again!
Emily and Andrew were fabulous hosts! They went out of their way to make us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. They gave us privacy, but also made themselves available if we needed them for anything. The neighborhood is safe and walking distance from several good restaurants. The space is comfortable, home-y, and looks just as pictured. They left us with plenty of snacks, coffee, and information about things to do in the area. We couldn't have been happier with our stay! I highly recommend.
Best first-time-AirBnB experience I could ever imagine. Emily and Andrew are very kind and helpful. The apartment was better as we could imagine from the photos and the description. The neighborhood is perfectly situated - the same small distance to the zoo and the art museum as well as to the arch/downtown. I would definitely recommend staying at this place to everyone! We loved it!
This was my second time staying with Emily and Andrew. It feels like home. Excited to come back.
The place was so clean and felt just like home. It included everything we would ever need to be comfortable!
Emily grew up in Florida and Andrew grew up in Illinois. We ended up in St. Louis and love it here. We are both educators and when not teaching, we spend our time doing projects around our house, tending the chickens and dog, doing any of the many free things around the city, cooking but also discovering new eateries around the Lou. We are members and community group leaders of The Journey. We love hosting and find joy in the comfort of our guests.
