Other Things to Note
This is the basement of our home in a family neighborhood so don't be surprised if you occasionally hear a dog bark, a chicken cluck, or a baby's faint cry. We have done everything we can to make the space as soundproof as possible but life still happens.
Our check in time is anytime after 3:00 pm and our check out time is anytime before 11:00 am. If for some reason you need some flexibility let us know and we will try our hardest to accommodate you the best we can.
Please treat our space with respect. Our desire in hosting is to provide a clean, comfortable place for you to relax and feel at home for an affordable price! Because of this, we don't tag on fees for extra people or cleaning. Please help us by leaving the space picked up. And if you have the time, doing your dishes before you leave is a huge help to us. Thank you!
The place was so clean and felt just like home. It included everything we would ever need to be comfortable!
Emily and Andrew greeted us upon our arrival and quickly left us to our own after showing us around. The place was very cute and had anything you could need! Thanks for hosting us!
A beautiful basement apartment complete with roaring fire, high def TV, immaculately kept and lovely furnishings. Best air BnB I've stayed in. Personalized print outs, great advice before we arrived and complimentary bagels, eggs and granola bars for breakfast. Plus Emily and Andrew were very welcoming and even got in touch to remind us to come back for a pair of earrings we'd left. Definitely be back next time we pas through St. Louis!
Emily greeted us upon our arrival and helped us get acquainted with the place, which was great! Also, it was already warmed and ready when we got there which was wonderful. This location was just like it was described to be and more, it was very comfortable and accommodating and had more amenities then I can name! There were also bagels and eggs in the fridge, as well as a kitchen with more than enough supplies to cook. We actually did cook dinner and breakfast on this trip, and it was very easy and efficient! I would most definitely stay with Emily and Andrew again! Also, the neighborhood was very very nice, the neighbors actually said hello to us as we were leaving! I was very pleasantly surprised with my first Airbnb experience, 10 out of 10 and I definitely recommend it! They also have an adorable baby girl and a precious dog :)
The place was even nice than the pictures. Emily and Andrew are very down to Earth and just wonderful easy going people! The gas fireplace was an amazing bonus, the place is quiet and feels very private. It felt very spacious and yet cozy at the same time. Loved the kitchen as well as I like to cook, everything I needed was there! Excited to come back!
Emily, Andrew, and Nushka welcomed us warmly during our trip to St Louis. They maintain a basement that is designed for the Airbnb traveler: guid books abound, fresh eggs for the sampling, everything and more that you'd expect from a hotel stay. It is located close to Museums and Zoo, as well as some must-visits like Schlafly. The space was clean, quiet, and plenty warm in the winter. Comfortable bed and cable came in handy for watching the game. Would stay with them again.
The place was EXCELLENT. The pictures are spot on. It was a really cold night, but there were enough space heaters that made it it really cosy. The fireplace was lovely. The little kitchen was perfect for us to heat up our pizza. The TV room was great to relax in. The bathroom was very well equipped. Overall we were very pleased with the place and would for sure stay there again.
Emily grew up in Florida and Andrew grew up in Illinois. We ended up in St. Louis and love it here. We are both educators and when not teaching, we spend our time doing projects around our house, tending the chickens and dog, doing any of the many free things around the city, cooking but also discovering new eateries around the Lou. We are members and community group leaders of The Journey. We love hosting and find joy in the comfort of our guests.
