Interaction with Guests
Carlos has lived in Montezuma for over 26 years, knows everyone and everything there is to do in the area--he is an infinite source of information for any adventure you're thinking of embarking on-- plus he's been told by guests that he makes a mean coffee! You'll invariably find him hanging out outside the lobby chatting with guests and local characters all day long... somehow it's always time for a "cafezito" at Montezuma Pacific!
Montezuma is a lovely laid-back "hippie-esque" town in a secluded area of Costa Rica lined by pristine virgin beaches popular for surfing. It's arguably the only beach town in the region whose character remains unspoiled by the masses. You can hike to the waterfalls and go "beach hopping" to those beaches only accessible by foot or by horse. There's a quaint organic farmer's market on Saturday mornings that sells local organic produce, cheese products, baked goods, arts & crafts, and otherwise-hard-to-find products like kombucha, coconut oil, almond butter, almond milk, gluten-free cookies and homemade vegan hot sauce.
There are local buses that go to the nearby town of Cobano, the nearby beaches of Mal Pais and Santa Teresa, to the Ferry in Paquera and to San Jose. Otherwise we can arrange for shared or private shuttles to most anywhere in the country and speedboats to Jaco Beach (1 hour trip).
Quiet hours after 10:00pm and only registered guests are allowed in the rooms after this hour for your own safety and that of other guests.
