This cool and comfortable room has all of the essentials for your laid-back stay in Montezuma, at a budget price! It's located in a quiet nook in the heart of the village of Montezuma, and is 100 yards from the beach. See howler monkeys, capuchins and iguanas!
This spacious room features a king size bed, A/C, hot shower, mini refrigerator, cable TV, a digital safe, and it's exit is located on the outside of the main house, so you have direct access to the quaint street facing the church and leading to the beach. Parking in Montezuma is tight, but it's no problem at Montezuma Pacific thanks to our tranquil alley you can park right in front of your room!
There is free unlimited fresh coffee and tea every morning and you also have access to a full kitchen and dining room facilities should you choose to cook for yourself. There is a large shared balcony area upstairs with tables, chairs, and sofas with free wi-fi and a book exchange where you can sip a beer and watch the monkeys and iguanas going through the beautiful tree in front of you.
Interaction with Guests
Carlos has lived in Montezuma for over 26 years, knows everyone and everything there is to do in the area--he is an infinite source of information for any adventure you're thinking of embarking on-- plus he's been told by guests that he makes a mean coffee! You'll invariably find him hanging out outside the lobby chatting with guests and local characters all day long... somehow it's always time for a "cafezito" at Montezuma Pacific!
Montezuma is a lovely laid-back "hippie-esque" town in a secluded area of Costa Rica lined by pristine virgin beaches popular for surfing. It's arguably the only beach town in the region whose character remains unspoiled by the masses. You can hike to the waterfalls and go "beach hopping" to those beaches only accessible by foot or by horse. There's a quaint organic farmer's market on Saturday mornings that sells local organic produce, cheese products, baked goods, arts & crafts, and otherwise-hard-to-find products like kombucha, coconut oil, almond butter, almond milk, gluten-free cookies and homemade vegan hot sauce.
There are local buses that go to the nearby town of Cobano, the nearby beaches of Mal Pais and Santa Teresa, to the Ferry in Paquera and to San Jose. Otherwise we can arrange for shared or private shuttles to most anywhere in the country and speedboats to Jaco Beach (1 hour trip).
Quiet hours after 10:00pm and only registered guests are allowed in the rooms after this hour for your own safety and that of other guests.
Empfehlenswert.
Carlos was very nice, the room was just perfect? It had everything we (website hidden), private bathroom, fridge, king size bed, very nice and clean.
The wifi was at the reception.
The kitchen that was available was not very nice, so we only used it once.
But otherwise everything was very recommendable for the price:-)
I really enjoy my stay with Carlos. He is an excellent host and is full of knowledge about the area. His place is very close to shops, restaurants, and the beach. I highly recommend his place in Montezumza.
Hello! I'm Carlos and I was born and raised in the city of San Jose, but I've been calling Montezuma home for the last 26 years. I love this town, I know everyone and everyone knows me. You can always find me hanging out near my front door having a coffee (at any time of day!) with guests or local characters. I'm a father to a wonderful 26-year-old daughter who lives all over the place and helps me out with the online part of my business (like making this profile for me on AirBnB!). I've been to Paris and the United States to visit her even though I'm scared of flying :)
My mission is for you to have an enjoyable stay and anyone will tell you I'm always very concerned with your stay also being safe! Bottom line is I love coffee and I love people, so come visit me and I'll brew you a cup while we chat!
