I had a wonderful time in Nes's flat - it was superbly located for my needs, large, clean and a haven to come back to after long hectic days of visiting publishers. Although we were unable to meet face to face I felt Nes was very much available by text, email and phone if I needed anything. And I really appreciated the tea bags, fruit and Turkish delight!
Nes was a great hostess and this was a really good location. It was close to the buses, metro, taxis, and walking to sites in the historic district. This is just a couple of minutes walking to the Strait and to the ferries to go across the strait or to the islands. Nes provided suggestions on where to go and where to eat, all of which was very helpful. I'd recommend this flat and hostess to anyone. Five stars (sorry my computer won't let me add the stars, but the overall experience with Nes and the apartment were great).
Great host, apartment and location. Would highly recommend this place. Nes was extremely accommodating and even went so far as to show me around, give me recommendations, and made me a fantastic breakfast on my first morning. She is warm hearted and is an amazing person. This is a HOME, not just a place to crash!! I enjoyed the experience very much.
Neslihan is a fantastic host. She was always willing to help us way before our arrival and during our stay. She prepared a list of suggested sites to visit, restaurants to go by categories, best wines... She offered me a SIM card for my cell phone and a public transportation card that I had just to charge. The appartment is very large and clean and closed Taksim place and there is a nearby tramway stop
If you want a great apartment in a great neighborhood in Istanbul, look no further. The flat is in the perfect location for exploring the city - walking distance to the restaurants/nightlife of Taksim square, Beyoglu, Galata etc but no street noise or loud music on the sidestreet itself. Grocery and liquor store across the street as well.
The place was larger than the photos make it appear to be, including a large living room with balcony, two large bedrooms with queen beds (one with small Juliet-style balcony as well), small kitchen with washing machine, bathroom with good water pressure and hot water. Building is very secure, with lift to get you to the fourth floor. The flat is tastefully decorated and very comfortable.
Most importantly, Nes epitomizes the Airbnb host. She left us a breakfast tray and beers in the fridge, along with excellent recommendations on things to do/places to eat. She provides a SIM card for your phone (you have to buy your own credit, obviously) for the duration of your stay. She was always available by phone and email, and very responsive. Not only that, but she went above and beyond on several occasions. For example, she helped me deal with Turkcell's technical support when a SIM card I bought wasn't working correctly (she argued with them in Turkish until we figured it out), and at the end of our stay she negotiated with our taxi to get a cheap fare to SAW.
In summary, this place is perfect for two couples who want to get the most out of their time in Istanbul, with a great host in a great location. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Nes has a wonderful flat, we missed nothing. The flat was clean and tidy. Nes was a very warm and carring host. She made sure that we felt welcome in her home and in Istanbul. She gave us a lot of information about museums and places to visit which helped us a lot.
It was an absolute joy to stay in Neslihan's flat. We rented the whole flat (email hidden)-union, and couldn't have made a better choice. Neslihan is a fantastic host. She goes the extra mile to make sure her guests have a comfortable stay. She offered us a local cell phone, the very useful Istanbul Card, and a booklet with lots of local info. She was like a family member to us, and we have already started to miss her!
As for the flat itself, it is in an ideal location. It is steps away from the tram, and faces the Bosphoros sea. The sea view is just priceless. There's a supermarket opposite the flat, and a bakery down the street whose owner speaks very good English and offers Turkish breakfast. In short, our Istanbul experience was all the more enjoyable because of Neslihan and her wonderful home. We will definitely stay with Neslihan again when we go to Istanbul, and wholeheartedly recommend her to others.
It's my first time with Airbnb and we had a great time here with Neslihan. The room was clean and bright. Location was great: not in the crowd tourist sites yet very close to those places, which was exactly what I was looking for. It's only 2-3 mins walk to the tram & bus station with easy access to Sultanahmet, also only 10-15 mins walk to Taksim. Neslihan was kind and thoughtful. She provided us 3 pages of very useful Istanbul tips for where to go and eat. She even prepared a welcome turkish breakfast after our first night! It is a pity we only stayed for 3 nights. I will definitely visit Istanbul and stay at Neslihan's again!
Beautiful, clean apartment, in a great location. Right opposite a shop, with plenty of bakeries close-by. Tram & bus stop is just at the bottom of the street, ideal to get to all the main areas.
Neslihan is a very friendly & accommodating host. Left some snacks for us for our arrival. She provided us with plenty of useful information & met us at the bus stop to take us home.
Thank you, we had fun!
