My apartment is located close to the university campus, in a safe bourgeois neighborhood.
Perfect for families, people who have to work at the university, and for everyone who wants to explore the city starting from the most beautiful area.

The space

The apartment is baby friendly!
Families are very welcome - there is a children’s room and all the necessary equipment you need when you make holidays with children:)

But PLEASE: also people without children are very WELCOME!

In the apartment you will find two double mattresses and one place to sleep on the very comfortable sofa, plus a baby bed, a children’s room with all the necessary children’s furniture, a place in the bathroom for changing diapers etc.

Guest access

The apartment has Wlan, a washing machine and a very well equipped kitchen. A supermarket, a bakery, and a few beautiful coffee shops are only 1 minute by foot from the apartment so it's no trouble to buy anything. They are located in the Zinzendorfgasse, where there is also an organic food market and the oldest church of Graz, built in the 13th century, which you must visit while you're spending time at our place.
You can also use the garden,
there is a slide for children and a possibility to sit outside.
It's very important for my good relationship to my neighborhood that you are friendly and that you bring everything back to the apartment when you leave the garden.

Interaction with guests

You can call/text me any time! If I'm not in the city, I will send one of my family members to help you out.
I'm always willing to give sightseeing tips:)
You'll see how wonderful it is to discover the historical places and the nature in the green heart of Styria.

Other things to note

-in the Leechgasse, just five minutes from the apartment begins the so called "GRÜNE ZONE" (Green Zone):
There you can park your car very cheap, for €7 a day. You can only buy the park ticket directly by the parking machine, which you find every few meters beside the parking area. The "Grüne Zone" begins at Leechgasse 28, 8010 Graz.
-If you wanna leave your car outside the city, you go to "Park and Ride Mariatrost". After you parked the car, you get into Tramway Numer 1 (direction Eggenberg) and you go out at station Lenaugasse. From Lenaugasse you walk max.7 minutes to the apartment.

If you go with Taxi from the airport Graz-Thalerhof it cost max. €20.
From the main railway station it costs max. €10.

Public Transport:
-From the Airport Graz-Thalerhof:
Take the train S-Bahn S5 (direction Graz Hauptbahnhof)
Then from the main railway station take Bus 63 (direction Schulzentrum St.Peter). Go out at Uni/Mensa.Its directly in front of the apartment.
If you want to go from the apartment back to the railway station, take bus number 63 (direction Hauptbahnhof) and get out at Hauptbahnhof (which means railway station).
-Most important connections from my apartment:
The bus stop to the city center is right in front of the house. You take bus number 39 (in the direction Urnenfriedhof) and in about 5 minutes you are at the center of the city.

By foot:
The walking distance to the city center is max.15 minutes.
While you're walking through the Central Park, you can enjoy the historical atmosphere of the Styrian capital. In the city park is also a big playground for children of every age. Walking distance to the playground is max. 10 minutes. There are also nice cafés nearby such as
“Cafe Promenade” and “Parkhouse”.

I appreciated working with the owner. For most, all was great, from location to neatness, warm atmosphere, charm and home feel. This is a very lovely place. The host's response time and wiliness to assist were great. I also respect the host sticking to the rules which had been defined. The only challenge was that my trip had business focus and so I had no time to spar at all. The only trouble was that cleaning needed to be done by myself. The host has however solved this for me. Few minor things needed to be fixed (e.g. marking the correct wall plug for the washing machine, wall plus for the same). The WiFi is not fast. Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment for a stay in Graz and am very impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism from a host.

The flat is perfectly located and it's easy to park nearby in the green zone (cheapest). The apartment has a lot of personal items left behind by Iris, which gives you a homey feeling. Iris was nice and the communication was easy. But...we rented this place because we read it was appropriate for children. Sure, there's a baby bed and a lot of toys but there are a lot of small repairs that need to be done and that made me a bit the electrical sockets which are not working properly and can be dangerous with a toddler around, or the shower which is small and not functional for a baby. Also, there is no cleaning fee, but be prepared to spend 3 hours washing the sheets and cleaning the flat, which can be problematic if you have to leave early. In our case, the laundry hadn't been done before our arrival. So, maybe our expectations were too high, but we feel like this charming apartment is slowly turning into solely a profit source (which is not what we're looking for).

Iris home was very nice, really clean and comfortable. The comunication with Iris and the check in were super easy. But leaving the house includes cleaning the appartament roughly and do the laundry.

Great host, very helpful, nice and very quiet appartment in a central location next to sevral shops and a good bakery, and definitely family friendly, having spent two weeks there with my 15-months old.

Before you book, beware that you will have to do a lot of cleaning before leaving. It should be clearly stated in the flat description that at the end of the stay, one has to wash and hang linen and towels. We were told so by Iris only after having booked. This is very uncommon and quite annoying as it takes a lot of time to do. Very dusty flat. Shower and bathroom were smelly. Communication was ok, except at the end of the stay, when Iris was quite rude and imposing.
