We are located directly on beautiful Bathway Beach, with our garden path leading past the pool and right onto the sand. Fully detached villas or 1 bed beachfront apartment /annexe, free wifi, & full kitchens, in case you prefer to dine at home!

Pelican at Moonfish Villas sleeps up to 4 guests in two ensuite bedrooms, (one Queen bed, two extra-long twins) plus a cozy extra room with a single bed, (must share a bathroom). No children under the age of 8.

The space

Detached ocean-front villa with double balconies, Pelican sleeps up to 4 in two ensuite rooms plus an extra 'Harry Potter Room', with full kitchen, spacious great room and indoor dining for 4. Outdoor dining area for 6 on top balcony, enjoy the stunning views across the garden & pool to the beach and small palm-fringed islands.

With restaurants and shops a short walk (Aggie's) or drive away this is a perfect base for exploring the lush north of this very friendly island!

One bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the second bedroom has two extra-long twin beds (same length as a queen for adult & teenager comfort!). Both bedrooms are the same size with their own closet space & shelves, and each has it's own large (8x5 feet) ensuite walk in shower room with toilet, rainfall showerhead, vanity and basin.

Guests staying in the Harry Potter Room should be a close friend or family member, as they will need access through one of the other bedrooms to use the bathroom. It is tucked under the stairs, so best suited for guests 5'6" or less!

The full kitchen comprises of a full size fridge/freezer, stove with oven & grill, toaster, kettle. Teflon & hard anodized pots make it easy to clean up, and wide tiled counters give you loads of room to experiment with local ingredients... you'll find a small selection of Caribbean cookbooks to inspire you!

Two Villas, and apartment, and a smaller owner's cottage share a large fenced (1 acre) garden and pool. The garden leads directly onto the beach, and is filling in nicely with local flowers, palms & sea almond trees. We are beginning to attract hummingbirds, cranes, iguanas and so on, which are fun to watch. We have an owl that comes in the evenings, and birds of prey and pelicans patrol the beach.

MoonFish Beach Houses are not suitable for children under 8.

Rental Agreement – MoonFish Beach Houses

CHECK-IN TIME is AFTER 4 P.M. AND CHECKOUT is BEFORE 11 A.M. local time. No Early Check-in or late checkout without prior arrangement, a fee/charge may apply. There is no facility to store bags, groceries or personal items before check in or after check out.

SMOKING is permitted outside, out of range of the doors. Marijuana is illegal in Grenada, any illegal drug use anywhere on the premises will result in immediate eviction without refund and forfeiture of security deposit.

PETS & CHILDREN - MoonFish Beach Houses are not suitable for guests under the age of 8. Pets are not permitted. Please be aware that we have a fluffy sweet old dog, Bumble, who lives on-site.

RESERVATION DEPOSIT & PAYMENT - A non-refundable reservation deposit of 25% of the booking fee is required at the time of booking. This payment must be received within 3 (three) days and will be applied toward the rent. The balance, together with the refundable security & damages deposit (deposit increased for longer stays), is payable 8 weeks before your arrival. Should your booking be made within 8 weeks of arrival then the full amount, including the security deposit, is due at the time of booking.

SECURITY & DAMAGES DEPOSIT – A security deposit (increased for longer stays) for each villa is fully refundable within ten (10) days of departure, provided the property is left as you found it and if there are no damages to property, appliances, linens or furnishings and the following provisions are met:
· There has been no early arrival or late departure without prior approval.
· There has been NO smoking in the villa/apartment or drug use on the property.
· The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or the local law enforcement.
· No damage is done to property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
· No charges are incurred, or illegal activity. No extra guests, pets or unpaid services rendered during the stay. All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
· All debris, rubbish and discards are placed out in trash bin, all floors swept, stove and fridge wiped, and soiled dishes are washed and put away.
· All keys are returned to the owners/managers upon departure and unit is left locked.
· Please note that crafts including glitter, modeling clay, oil paints, hot glue or glue, etc are extremely difficult to clean and may cause stains or permanent damage and will affect your deposit refund.
· No linens, towels, or fabrics are lost or damaged. Damage to fabric cushions on sofas included. Coloured sunblock, tinted moisturisers, tanning and fake tan solutions WILL damage fabric and linens. Replacement will be charged in full, including shipping, duty, labour as appropriate.
· Extra cleaning after your visit (over and above the norm) in order to prepare it for the following guests will be deducted at an hourly rate.

CANCELLATIONS – Cancellation, late arrival, or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. BECAUSE RESERVATION DEPOSITS AND FINAL BALANCES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU ARRANGE SUITABLE TRAVEL INSURANCE AT THE TIME OF BOOKING, IN CASE UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES PREVENT YOU FROM TAKING YOUR HOLIDAY. Security/Damage deposits are fully refundable in case of cancellation, and will be returned as quickly as possible.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of guests is limited to two (2) in The Sloop apartment, or four (4) Persons per Villa (5 with permission for Pelican), Day or Night, this figure is based on the number of guests actually booked, and there has been no substitution of the original guests. Should additional persons be found on the property at any time ALL guests in the villa/apartment in question will be evicted immediately without refund of rental fee or Security/Damage Deposit.

INCLUSIVE FEES – Rates include self-catering accommodation and a one-time linen & towel setup. We are not responsible for fees charged by listing sites and platforms, agents, etc. Linens and towels will be changed every 7 nights, or half-way through/weekly (as appropriate) your rental if staying more than 7 nights. Bed linens, bath and pool towels & tea towels, toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, cooking gas, water & electricity is provided as part of the rental agreement, please let us know if you need advice on using the cooker/stove. We do not provide catering or maid service. Do not remove anything from the property. Please respect the Island’s limited resources by turning off fans & lights when not in rooms, not wasting water, etc.

RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice.

FALSIFIED BOOKINGS – Any booking obtained under false names or pretense or guest numbers or including children under age 8 will be subject to forfeiture of all payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in.

PARKING – Parking is limited to one (1) vehicle per villa unless otherwise agreed in advance. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Additional vehicles may be parked on the road outside of the gate at your own risk. Do not leave valuables in the car, close up and lock vehicle when not in use.

WATER AND SEPTIC – The villas are on septic systems. The tap water is treated and is sourced from mountain springs and rainwater- it is perfectly safe to drink, but during an outage the water may be switched to storage tank water and may need to be boiled before drinking. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper (including tampons, condoms, flushable wipes, etc) at any time. If it is found that any products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages.

WIFI & ENTERTAINMENT – free wireless internet is provided as a convenience only and is not integral to the agreement. No refund of rents shall be given for outages, content, lack of content, speed, access problems, lack of knowledge of use, or personal preferences with regard to internet service. There is no Cable, Aerial TV or Satellite Service available.

SAFETY – It is the tenant’s responsibility to learn about safety precautions, warning signs of water conditions, and safety procedures concerning swimming in or being around the pool. Tenant agrees to have a responsible adult supervise minors in & around the pool. Tenant is hereby notified that the pool can be dangerous and tenant accepts fully the risks involved. Due to hidden currents tenants should be aware that it is not advised to swim directly in front of the Villas, or on the north end of the beach, but the safe swimming area is only steps away in the protected reef area. Please keep all gates closed to prevent unwelcome visitors and to keep dog(s) inside property. Close & lock all windows and doors whenever you leave the property.

ISLAND LIFE - We very occasionally experience brief power/water outages that are beyond our control. We report outages as each occurs. We have large water tanks on the property as back up. No refunds or compensation will be given for any outages. There shall be no refunds of rents due to shortened stays or ruined expectations because of weather conditions. Please be aware that Grenada is very close to the equator and the sun is much stronger here, even if there is cloud. Pack sunblock! Please shut all windows & doors upstairs when going to bed, and lock all windows and doors throughout the property when leaving the grounds to prevent rain & unwelcome visitors (winged, 4-legged, or 2 legged) coming in! Due to unpredictable sudden tropical showers we request that indoor furniture, bedding and cushions should please remain indoors, and all outdoor cushions should be brought indoors when not in use. ‘Outdoor’ foam is not available on the island and these rot quickly if left out.

Tenants/Guests shall behave in a civilized manner and shall be good neighbours, and we respectfully ask that guests not create noise or disturbances likely to disturb or annoy and respect the rights of the surrounding guests. All Tenants/Guests shall hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Landlord against any and all claims of personal injury or property damage or loss arising from use of the premises regardless of the nature of the accident, injury or loss. Tenants/Guests expressly recognize that any insurance for property damage or loss which the Landlord may maintain on the property does not cover the personal property of Tenants, and that Tenants should purchase their own insurance for Tenants/ Guests if such coverage is desired. The Landlord & their representative has the right to inspect the premises without prior notice at any time to enforce the terms of this agreement. Should the Tenants violate any of the terms of this agreement, the rental period shall be terminated immediately with no refund of payments. E&OE.

The agreement is considered and agreed to be fully accepted by all parties with or without signature upon initial payment/deposit.

We had a fantastic stay at the Pelican. The house was beautifully decorated and situated on the most beautiful beach. Then there was the pool! Thanks so much Kitty for letting us enjoy your little slice of heaven. The house managers, Wendy & Ian were so welcoming and even brought us fresh coconuts whilst we in the pool. Pinch me!

A wonderfully different place to stay on Grenada, the drive there was slightly challenging and not for the faint hearted, but fascinating and well worth it. Moonfish villas are a great choice if you want somewhere away from it all to just totally relax. The beds and pillows were outstanding! Something of a personal bugbear when traveling... We so enjoyed our time there, and Kitty was an endless source of information and help, such a wonderful hostess! The only problem was that we had to come home! I could of happily stayed forever!

My friend and I spent 3 nights at Moonfish with Kitty and Russ in late December right before Christmas. It was amazing. Kitty was fantastic to connect with in the months and weeks before we came answering questions and reserving a rental car for us. The villa is everything and more, and the location is fantastic. It's not near the tourist portion of the island,which makes it great. Kitty also gave us fantastic Thai Foot Massages and Indian Face Lifts (face massages) that were wonderful and very affordable. We brought our own food and went to Aggies. The weather was too rough for a snorkel trip but hopefully next time. Kitty was wonderful and we could have spent many more days here!

Our week at bathway beach was enchanting in every way. Kitty is a fantastic and enthusiastic host, with lots of tips and info for exploring the island. We found our villa to be breezy and comfortable stocked with everything we could possibly need. The setting is unbeatable and the lovely pool deck is a great bonus. A dream beachhouse perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all! Highly recommended!

Kitty is so helpful and responsive. She helped us arrange our rental car, suggested a great event to go to for our final evening in Grenada (Friday nights @ Prickly Bay Marina) among other great suggestions, and even helped me retrieve something I left behind in our rental car. Great place to stay in the north of Grenada - especially if you're interested in Levera Beach and leatherback turtle watching!

Originally from Canada, I emigrated to Grenada with my British husband after we fell in love with the beauty of the island, the relaxed & healthy lifestyle, and the friendly people. We have recently moved to the West Coast of Canada, so our property manager friends live in our on site and are there to manage the two rental villas, with their lovely fluffy dog, Bumble.

We all particularly enjoy sharing our favourite places to explore with guests, and finding out what new hidden treasures they have found on their adventures in Grenada!

Grenada are in the same time zone as Toronto and New York in the summer, but Grenada does not use daylight savings time, so in the winter we are an hour ahead.

We are now living in the same time zone as Los Angeles, if you want to talk on the phone, 8 hours behind the UK and 3 hours behind New York...
