We enjoyed our stay in this cozy, personable, plain but comfortable home. The neighborhood is quiet. This is the downstairs unit of a duplex; it actually was nice to know that there were "neighbors" upstairs. We communicated via email and text with the hosts, which was fine. No frills but everything worked and all instructions were super clear and friendly.

The place was fine. There was a strong gas smell which made my companions feel a little sickly but we were able to air it out fairly quickly

This is a quaint old home in a picturesc Madison neighborhood. The main bed was comfortable, I slept like a rock. The location is spacious and enviting. There are a few issues. The beggist is the faucet at the kitchen sink. This is a single handle style faucet. The handle is no longer attached and easily comes off. This causes issues when trying to properly adjust it since it's not hard to lose its temperature orientation. I cook where I stay as I have children and trying to save money. Many of the items in the cabinets to use have a noticeable film of years of grease and dust on them. I had to scrub the cullender before I was willing to use it and even then the outside had this geesey film. The stove in this apartment is functional, but it's AT LEAST 30 years I'll and is a bit of a turn off. Also the fact that I'd I want to cook and feed my family I then must do dishes by hand as there is no dishwasher. I am willing to stay at this location again but it is not in the top of my list.

I have grown up on the move, having lived in Africa, China, and the U.S., as well as living in Ukraine for several years with my young family. I now reside in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin, where I am a therapist and social worker. I love to travel, as well as to experience the world through others in their stories and experiences. Madison is an amazing place - full of great people, places, and activities. I am a very resourceful and conscientious person and can offer lots of ways to help make your stay in Madison a good one!
