My husband and I spent Memorial Day Weekend in Raleigh and couldn't have been more pleased with Cookie's Garden. The amenities were perfect - we enjoyed our morning bath and relaxing in the garden before riding our bikes to the downtown area to visit family. Steve and Trisha were very accommodating. We would definitely recommend this B&B!
Life at Cookie's Garden suite was so comfortable, and enjoyable that I didn't want to leave! The brick path leading up to the suite and gardens made me want to continue exploring and excited to see what surprises were ahead. There were beautiful shrubs, perennials, annual flowers overflowing there containers, and garden art tucked in everywhere and on the fences. It continued on to a lovely, shaded courtyard with tables. A perfect place to enjoy coffee in the morning, and a glass of wine in the evening. The suite itself was everything in the description and more. It was spotless, charming and light filled. A perfect place to unwind after very busy days. However, what made my stay even more enjoyable, was the warmth of Trish and Steve's personalities. They made me feel very welcomed, and provided me with a food snack everyday! In fact, I already booked my return!
Cookie's Garden Suite was our first airbnb reservation. The space and the hosts both exceeded our expectations. The suite was spotlessly clean, comfortable & charming. We absolutely loved the outdoor patio space & cottage garden. Great place for a glass of wine at the end of the day - or to sit anytime while browsing the many local restaurants. Tea kettle in room, perfect - being English we always travel with tea bags and it is not great trying to boil water in a coffee maker! Trish & Steve made us feel right at home, were really helpful discussing where to eat etc. Zucchini bread left for us was a lovely gesture. We appreciated all they did & would love to return.
This was our first visit to Raleigh (primarily to bike the Neuse River Trail). We are impressed with the whole Greenway Trail System. Oakdale is a perfect location for both local walking around and walking to downtown. Steve & Trish have really accurately described their space and it is no wonder they get great reviews.
Steve and Trish were very accommodating in their own right, and our room was enjoyable, tastefully furnished, and private, with a few nice extras. I was there to run a half marathon, and the Sheldons cheered me on as I passed. I would not hesitate to stay with them again or to recommend them to others.
Wonderful stay with wonderful people. Made to feel right at home and couldn't have wanted for more. Thank you :-)
We had a lovely time staying in Steve and Trish's private suite. Our hosts went well beyond our expectations, offering us every possible amenity we might need. The quiet neighborhood location so close to downtown was perfect for exploring the city, and through the private entry we could come and go without bothering anyone. While the weather was unfortunately grey, cold and wet, we were very easily able to use Uber into the city for four or five dollars each way.
We took this trip to evaluate the possibility of moving to Raleigh. Any faint doubts that lingered before we arrived were completely dissolved by the hospitality offered to us by Steve and Trish. We'll be back soon!
