We had a rough weekend in Eureka Springs with the snow. Needless to say we were stranded at the house for a day and Steven was kind enough to provide meals for us and drive us to our car the next day. He did far beyond what any host should ever have to do. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
Steven's home is very tidy and quiet. The house is close enough to ES to be convenient, and far enough to escape the business of ES. He was friendly and helpful with suggestions and directions. Scout was a charmer, and Steven was a gracious host.
Steven was a great host recently while I was up in the area for a long weekend. The location is quiet and out of the way but not far from town and the accommodations were inviting and comfortable. THe next time that I am looking for a place to stay in the area, Steven and Scout's Three Pines Forest Retreat will be high on the list.
I had a great, albeit short, stay at Steven's home. His house is new, beautiful, clean, everything you'd want it to be. The room provided was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice (also clean!). I slept very well. Steven provided breakfast in the morning which was a welcomed surprise.
The surrounding area is quiet (but not desolate) so if you're looking to get away for a while, this is a great choice. I was pretty unfamiliar with the area before I arrived, so Eureka Springs, which is a short drive away, was a very pleasant surprise. Historical, beautiful architecture that's very fun to explore.
Steven, your host, is knowledgeable about area sites. We had gone to Eureka primarily to visit a friend's restaurant in town (New Delhi). We had no specific plans for the second day, but we started talking about things to do and places to go and settled on the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art about a 45-minute drive away. Steven's directions were flawless, once I remembered that Stateline Road didn't actually follow the state line. So we made a brief foray into rural Missouri. No harm; they let us out again.
The exterior of Steven's place hides a delightfully open and stress-free home that Steven and Scout share with guests. Even the birds like his place. The bird feeders on the deck are host to species that you just don't see in the city.
Breakfast was simple and healthy. That's a plus when you're going to be pigging out at other places.
We'll be back next spring for another trip to Crystal Bridges and I have no doubt we'll stay again in this home if it's available.
A word about Scout. That's the Basset hound. We're cat people, but Scout is a sweet, well-tempered dog. We had no problems whatsoever and would be surprised if anyone would.
My husband and I were looking for a place to stay in the Eureka Springs area for 1 night and decided to give Airbnb a try. This was our first Airbnb experience and we were certainly not disappointed. Steven's house is very clean and well kept and he was a very good host. Steven is very nice to talk to and we enjoyed spending time with him. We also enjoyed the company of his Basset hound, Scout. We would definitely go back to stay at Steven's place again if we are going to be in that area.
Some people have the gift of hospitality, and Steve is definitely one of them. He was easy to communicate with, his house was very clean, and the accommodations were comfortable. Each morning, breakfast was set out & coffee was made. It was like a true bed & breakfast!
Steve is also very nice to talk to, was respectful of our privacy, and made us feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying at his place.
I would recommend staying with Steven and Scout anytime. We stayed for 3 nights and explored Eureka Springs and Branson. We got to use the living room and deck along with our own bedroom, bathroom, and tv. We were also able to cook in the main kitchen. Steven helped a lot recommending driving routes and giving tips for places to visit.
Steven's home was clean and comfortable. Eureka Springs is a great town to visit, lots of good restaurants, unique shops and history. We also canoed in the area. Thank you Steven for being a good host.
Steven is a lovely host and a pleasant person. His home is very clean and comfortable. Steven will be socially engaging during your stay or will be respectful of your privacy. The location is quiet and convenient to Eureka Springs. His dog Scout is irresistibly cute!
I would recommend Steven's place to anyone looking for a clean, quiet and affordable place to stay while visiting Eureka Springs. And I would recommend Steven as a welcoming and accommodating host as well as a great person to meet!
