Guest access
You will have access to the whole space and backyard. If you are bringing your car/rental, there is usually plenty of free street parking right out front, although on evenings and during the first Friday of the month ("Santa Fe Art Walk") it might take some time to find a spot in the area. Please pay attention to the street signs that note the street sweeping dates (the first Tuesday and Wednesday of the month April to November) to avoid getting a $50 ticket. Parking is restricted to 2 hours (except on weekends and holidays) on my side of the street, but I have a parking permit if needed.
The building is a duplex - everything including the entrance, exit, and backyard is private. The only shared wall with my neighbor is brick.

Other things to note
There is NO TV in the home, but the wifi is fast enough to stream video on your personal devices. I ask guests to not use the fireplace for safety reasons. If you have a car, please read the street signs about parking and street sweeping.

Santa Fe Art District is an eclectic mix of art galleries, their owners, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and families. The alleyway behind my home is one of the densest areas of street art/graffiti/murals in Denver. One block over from my street is Santa Fe Ave, lined with shops, art galleries, restaurants, and bars. It's an up and coming neighborhood (still transitioning) with mostly families and artists and some young professionals. Although the street and surrounding houses show some character, the neighbors (especially directly next to me on each side) are all friendly and cool. I've lived in a 2 blocks radius for 5 years and love the variety, diversity, families, and art. It's also central to all destinations and attractions - I don't think I've ever paid more than $12 for an Uber to get anywhere in the Denver area from music venues on Colfax to Union Station downtown to clubs, bars, and restaurants on South Broadway or in Capitol Hill. The Denver Convention Center and Auraria Campus are exactly 1 mile from my doorsteps. These areas are walkable if it isn't too cold. Fridays on Santa Fe are busy, but on the first Friday of every month you'll really see the Santa Fe Art District come to life with an art walk, food trucks, free art exhibitions, and music.
Great local Mexican food, sushi, Asian fusion, pizza, bars, art cafes, 7-11 and grocery store within a 5-minute walk.

I highly recommend taking a tour of Downtown Denver with a company I did a stint as a tour guide with...eTUK Ride. Check out their impressive trip advisor reviews (and look for my name!). The coolest way to get a 2.5 hour tour and overview of Denver...in a tuk-tuk! Heated seats in winter! Tours meet at Union Station, but local pickup can be added. I suggest the City Tour or City/Brewery combo! Use code: ETUK10 for a 10% discount :)

"The Art District on Santa Fe is a designated Colorado Creative District, with the largest concentration of art galleries in Colorado — more than 30 of them. The neighborhood is splashed in brilliant color and covered in artwork from head to toe, inside its galleries and outside on it doors, alleys, hallways, sidewalks, walls, mailboxes, windows…you get the picture.

I'm a wandering New Yawk jew who grew up on Long Island, went to college in Burlington, VT, lived in Cambodia for a year, then Lake Tahoe for 3, Japan for a winter and finally Denver from 2013-2017 working for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado. Currently, I'm back and forth between Denver and Breckenridge where I am the Children's Ski School Special Programs Manager in the winter. I've spent a summer as a downtown Denver tour guide and a summer (winter) in Australia ski instructing (yep, there's skiing there!). I love to ski, bike (bmx, road, mtn bike), float down rivers, go to concerts, eat asian food, and travel. I also love helping others have fantastic vacations and experiences. When I travel I prefer to spend a lot of time in one country/region or if possible, live there for a bit and work. I've lived and worked in Cambodia, Japan, and Australia. Otherwise, I still enjoy weekend trips to new cities or small towns within Colorado. I love to visit or connect with friends or friends of friends in places I've never been before. As a host I enjoy meeting new people and hearing about their travels and where they're from. I am happy to chat and show you around if I'm available, or completely let you do your own thing.
