Our sunny, comfortable & charming house, with its garden and courtyard was once home to the famous poet Patrick Kavanagh and is a quiet oasis of calm set in leafy Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 with the bustle of the City's finest amenities accessible just beyond the doorstep.
Please be polite and pleasant. The area is quiet and the people living there respect each other. So we do not want loud, rowdy groups of people who are drunk. There is a strictly no smoking policy in the Mews, and the Mews needs to be returned to Una in the condition it was in clean and with all content in tact on arrival. Other than that there are no specific rules.

I'm a Dubliner who loves beautiful places, spaces, music, history, art and food. I adore local places with long histories and like to get to know them. My desert island foods would be crumbly blue cheese on an oat biscuit, butter and whiskey wrapped fresh lobster and Cork dry gin with slices of homegrown cucumber and ice. I can't live without good coffee and wouldn't even try. I'm currently reading Hal Fisher's A History of Europe and I love the knowledge it shares about Western Europe since 1731. Right now I'm catching up on my local history over the last 100 years...bound to happen in 2016 ... as the 100 years since the rising that sparked Ireland's independence comes calling. My favourite musicians are plenty - Queen, The Mumfords, Daft Punk and closer to home U2 and Mark Geary. I believe in keeping life simple - and I fundamentally believe - the simpler, the better. I enjoy welcoming guests to Dublin and sharing stories of local history, culture and food.
