My centrally-located apartment is a 2 bedroom that is quite, clean and cozy. Carved out of a large Victorian building, this 3rd floor apartment is a quick walk to a direct bus to San Francisco (45 minutes) or the nearest train station and a 7 minute drive to the ferry to SF. You can also walk to downtown Alameda (25 minutes) where there are great restaurants, a farmers market, shops and the beautifully-restored Art Deco movie theater.
On your first morning, I will be happy to cook a California style breakfast - meaning fresh fruit, breakfast burrito (vegetarian available) and coffee to start your day off well. If you need to clean your clothes, there is a coin-operated washing machine and dryer downstairs or a laundromat within walking distance.
This is a GREAT location because it is safe, quiet and the host is really nice! I am from the Southern part of the US and grew up with a hospitable spirit and love to make people feel welcome without being overbearing. I just want you to feel at home in my home.
Please take your shoes off at the door and slip them into the convenient shoe holder on the back of the door. I have neighbors downstairs, so a minimal amount of noise after 10pm please.
Absolutely no smoking inside or outside the building. I have an extreme allergy to cigarette smoke, so if it is in your clothes that will be a problem. Otherwise, you can buy and cook food if you'd like. Please clean your dishes once you have used them. I do not have pets and cannot allow them as per building policy. This is California, so please ask me how to recycle items. -Thank you

It was my second time staying at Priscilla's. I guess it says a lot about how good I feel being at her place and how much I enjoy sharing time with her. She's an awesome host, her apartment is very nice and its location is very convenient. I really recommend to stay at Priscilla's when you are in the Bay Area!
Priscilla was the consummate hostess. Alameda is super cute. I'd been to the Bay Area before but not that little corner of it. I was pleasantly surprised with how much was there and how nice the people were.
I really enjoyed the time at Priscilla's place. The apartment is really nice, the neighborhood and city are beautiful. I found there all I needed for my stay. Pubic transportation to San Francisco works very well and you have many different ways to go there. Definitely a convenient location close to the big city. Alameda is smaller than SF but it has also everything you need for shopping, eating, entertainment, etc. and you can stay there without never leaving the city.
Priscilla is very nice, easy to talk to and she is always happy. It was really nice knowing that in the evening she'd be at home to talk, watch movies and go out to have dinner together. We had a really good time. I went to Alameda expecting to meet a host, but I met a good friend.
Priscilla's home was perfect for our needs as we visited our son and his family who lived blocks away from her home. We did not have a chance to meet her, but she arranged a convenient way for us to pick up the keys and was always available by cell phone when we had questions. We would recommend her place to others wanting to stay in a charming Alameda neighborhood.
I had a great experience staying at Priscilla place. She is very warm and welcoming person, and it is easy to feel home at her home. The location is convenient, and the listing is accurate. I will be staying there again.
Priscilla was such an amazing host. This was our first time using Airbnb and we couldn't be more pleased. She was so welcoming and flexible with our arrival time. We drove up from SoCal and arrived after 1 AM and she stayed up to let us in. She even made us breakfast in the morning! You haven't lived until you've tried her almond croissants. The place was as described. It's an old Victorian home that was turned into an apartment. Her place is on the third floor. Very comfortable queen bed and a comfy sofa for the extra person. Everything was clean and tidy. The neighborhood is extremely safe to walk around. It's surrounded by a church and elementary school. We came for the Outside Lands music festival at Golden Gate Park and we got back at midnight everyday but still felt safe walking around. It's about 1 1/2 hours public transportation to Golden Gate Park. There's ample street parking. We look forward to staying with her again :) Thanks Priscilla!

I used AirBnB for my condo in Las Vegas. It's a great website! Now, I'm in the San Francisco Bay area and love living here. People are educated, fun, friendly and smart. I am a jazz singer who loves performing and lots of laughs.
Right now, I had such a great experience with AirBnB, I want to continue that and invite others in the way the great hosts in LA did. I used AirBnB and found a friend for life!
