About this listing
The house is in the heart of the historical city, all sightseeings and museums are at walking distance.
It's in an old palace but the apartment has been completely renovated in 2013. it's very quiet and full of light.
I have tried to make the house special, to give it some character, hoping that you'll remember it as a nice place where you've stayed when you were in Florence. There is all comfort: a lift (very rare in the old florentine buildings), wi-fi, TV ,stereo for i pod, A.C, DVD player with movies in english, french and spanish, and the kitchen has washing machine, fridge, dish washer, micro wave. a baby crib is available. You'll find art books from the main museums and I give you all my favourite places in order you can live as locals, avoiding tourist places. For the deco, I have mixed old pieces with new ones, photos from my travels and colors are soft and pastel . On the very small balcony, there are plants. Bedsheets, towels, soaps are provided.I hope you will enjoy the house!
From Oct 31 - Nov 2, 2015 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
We had an amazing stay at Marie's in Florence! The apartment was absolutely beautiful. Everything about it from the decor to the showers felt luxurious and yet very comfortable. It is also in PRIME location. Nothing ever seemed to be more than a 10 minute walk away. She provided a lot of great suggestions in a binder for us and gave us a great idea of how to go about our stay in Florence. Check in and check out was smooth and easy and all necessary amenities were included (iron, blowdryer, basic cooking needs, wash machine and clothesline, etc.). Overall we could not have been happier. If only I knew what an amazing stay we were going to have, we would have booked more time in Florence as opposed to the other cities we visited. While you're at it- check out the Tuscany Vespa Tour and a tuscany wine tour! Experiences not to be missed during your stay! They operate out of Florence and both leave from locations very close to the apartment (as I said, everything was close!) Such a beautiful city and such a beautiful apartment! Thanks, Marie!
Great experience staying in Marie's apartment! It is right in the center of Florence, short walk to major attractions which was especially important given extremely hot weather there. Yet it is on a quite street with provided pleasant relief after a day of walking. The apartment itself was nice, clean and spacious enough to accommodate our family of three. In addition having elevator was a huge plus.
Marie's assistant Nicolas came a bit late due to the storm that hit Florence immediately prior to our arrival. Once he showed up he was very helpful orienting us around the flat and the city. He also helped us with the taxi reservation which was great. I have no hesitation staying in Marie's apartment again if we are ever back to Florence.
Better than advertised. Beautiful space in the heart of Florence. Apartment was spectacular!
Wow. What a city and what a perfect place Marie has crafted right in the centre of the coolest part Florence.
All he major sites are within a short walk and Marie's home is utterly gorgeous. Staying there with my wife and parents was ideal. Bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and the modern air-con in every room was refreshingly welcome this July.
Oasis is the perfect word to describe this gem of an apartment in the heart of historic Florence. It has the old world look and charm with all the modern conveniences. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable, fully equipped, and is actually better than it appears on the website as it is larger than expected, and very well laid out. Everything worked well. The crisp white bedding and A/C cooled us down perflectly at the end of our long days visiting Florence's amazing sites. The building is secure and quiet -- no creaks or plumbing noises whatsoever. It was very difficult to leave this beautiful place. Marie was very responsive when I was securing the aparrtment and during our stay. Read her binder of information when you arrive as it contains a lot of useful information -- especially about the gelato!
Had a lovely stay in this apartment. Beautiful and cool during recent heatwave. Marie very helpful.
Lovely appartment very centrally located in Firenze. 10 mins walking distance to Ponte Vecchio with many restaurants and bars nearby. Marie's son picked us up and showed us the appartment as well as took us to a garage to park our car. Appartment is air conditionned which came handy with 35+ degrees. We can highly recommend this appartment for a stay in Firenze !

About the Host, Marie
I'm French and I have been living in Florence for a very long time (almost 30 years).
I travel a lot both for my job and my vacations. I've tried to create a space that I'd myself like to find when I am away from home.I want it very clean because I always walk bare feet, i want it with all the comfort because I don't like washing the dishes, I want it quiet because I am on vacation, I want it nice because my home is nice!
I speak French, english, italian and learning spanish because my eldest son leaves in Columbia.
I couldn't leave without my yoga and my main interest are the oriental philosophies which have taught me a lot.
