Bright apartment on the top floor, overlooking a quiet venetian canal and the Carmini church. A spacious living room, a bathroom with bathtub, a double room and a room with two single beds. Free wi-fi internet access, washing machine, conditioner.
This bright apartment is on the top floor, overlooking a quiet venetian canal and the Carmini church. It has a very spacious living room, a bathroom with bathtub, a beautiful double room and a room with two single beds. From five of the windows you can see the Saint Mark's bell tower. Wi-fi internet access is available, and there's a small library dedicated to art books.
NO LIFT!! It's really rare in Venice. Please, remember we are at the third floor.
NEW ENTRY: Air conditioning, sofa in the living room, glass at the shower.
The apartment is removed from the tourist crush, but if you want to join the "movida" of Venice, you just have to turn the corner: the apartment is just 3-4 minutes far from the city entrances, Piazzale Roma and the railway station, and 2 minutes far from the lively Campo Santa Margherita, a beautiful square where it's possible to let the babies run and play without danger. The Carmini area is quiet, supermarkets and the main shops are just few steps away.
In 5 minutes you can reach the Fondamenta of Zattere, where there is the boat to Giardini and Arsenale, Biennale's venues, to the Lido beach, and the boat to/from the airport.
PLEASE: this is not an hotel. When you leave, please let the apartment free from rubbish, dirty dishes, put sheets and towels in the bathroom. The cleaning lady and I will be happy!
PLEASE AGAIN: this is not an hotel and I am a working woman. Please tell me in advance the time of your arriving and please keep in contact with me by sms or mail during the arrival. Thank you!!
Great apartment, great host, great location, and all in the most wonderful city in the world! If you're looking to get off the tourist track, this is the place. It's easily walkable from the train and bus stations and convenient to all the sites, but more importantly, when you stay in Laura's lovely apartment you feel like you're living like a Venetian.
The apartment is quiet, comfortable and well designed. The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment for privacy and beds can be configured as a king or two singles. The bathroom is modern and the kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pots and pans and all the basics you need to get a simple meal -- olive oil and vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, pasta -- as well as an assortment of lovely nibbles and treats Laura leaves behind.
Laura provided great information about markets and restaurants and was completely responsive and friendly. She even showed up with pastries from her favorite bakery when we arrived.
All in all a perfect stay. No complaints at all and in fact, I cannot recommend Laura's place highly enough.
The apartment with canal view, as well as our host Laura, were absolutely great.
Well stacked with all kinds of information material, located in a quiet street, just a 2 minute walk from the very attractive Campo Santa Margeritha, another 3 minutes away from the next watertaxi stop on the canale grande.
The small place has windows to all directions, is really good for two couples or one couple with two children, with astonishing good beds and equipped with enough supplies to prepare your meals. We´ll sure come back.
The flat is ideally located, on a quiet canal but close to everywhere. It's light and airy, well appointed, clean and the beds are comfortable - I strongly recommend staying in this flat. Laura was a helpful host, very pleasant to deal with. Top rating!
L'appartamento e' al quarto piano di un palazzo dietro campo Santa Margherita. Molto comodo quindi per raggiungere varie sedi di Ca' Foscari e anche per vivere un'esperienza di Venezia lontano dalle aree più turistiche. Molto consigliato!
Laura is a very friendly host. She is easy to contact and replies quickly. She met us outside the apartment and, as it was too late to shop, she had brought us orange juice and patisserie for our breakfast. The apartment is light and airy with views of the churches. Everything was comfortable and it was perfect for us. We liked being high up and didn't mind the stairs. The area had very few tourists (it was February) and was quiet. The interesting Campo San Marguerita is just around the corner as well as a supermarket, so it was easy to buy everything we wanted. Restaurants were so expensive, and not very good, so we cooked for ourselves. We were a bit surprised that there was no cooker, just 2 gas rings and a microwave (which we don't use) but we managed very well.
Laura was a wonderful host. Her apartment is beautiful and extremely well located. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Venice!
Laura's apartment is really nice, spacious and elegant. The area Dorsoduro where the apartment is located is also great, really "Venetian" but just 15 minutes from all major attractions. Please be awared, that the apartment is located on top floor of the building without elevator and consider the weight of your luggage.
Check-in was fast and without any difficulties.
Laura's apartment was exactly as described, and perhaps even more charming. Laura was very welcoming with sweet biscuits and juice for breakfast provided on arrival. Further to the wonderful apartment and welcome Laura was also our first AirBNB booking and she was very helpful in providing guidance on the protocols of AirBNB. We loved Venice and we loved our apartment.
Location, location, location. The apartment is in an absolutely wonderful, relaxing location, away from the crowds. The location is also convenient to some lovely campos with charming local bars, shops, and restaurants. Some additional pluses include the canal view, wifi, washing machine, and updated bathroom. The only negatives are that the beds are cot beds, and there isn't a television.
Excellent location in a true local neighbourhood off the usual touristic areas with sufficient shopping/restaurant facilities nearby. Easy access/short walking distances from/to railway station and Canale Grande (vaporetto). Wonderful views from the apartment which is nice and clean. Two minor drawbacks: a) One of the two bedrooms is separated from the corridor by a curtain only (maybe relevant for some guests). b) Living room/kitchen is rather a large kitchen with some living room equipment than vice versa.
