Casa Santa Caterina is an original apartment just a few steps from the famous Ponte Vecchio, located in a fourteenth century listed building that was the ancient convent of Santa Caterina. The apartment has been recently restored. It has a vaulted roof and a typical “cotto” floor.
It is 42 square metres and has 1 dining room, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom with shower and bidet, a boxroom and a sleeping area with a queen size bed and a single bed.
The apartment has been carefully furnished and has the following comforts: central heating, television,WiFi, refrigerator and a microwave. The kitchen and the bathroom are fully refurbished and accessorized.
The ancient thick walls guarantee a quiet and cool environment, great during the summer.
The Santa Caterina apartment is very close to the Ponte Vecchio, in the heart of Florence; you can easily get to the most important monuments on foot: Uffizi Gallery, Piazza Signoria, the Dome, etc.
Accommodates 2+1 persons.
Me recomendaron los departamentos de este anfitrión y no se equivocaron. El departamento espectacular, muy bien ubicado, bien pensado, muy limpio. El anfitrión muy preocupado. 100% recomendable.
Paolo was exceptionally professional at all times when answering our questions before our trip, giving us ideas and suggestions for how to get to and around Florence. He met us at the apartment on time and had lots of information to share with us about his city, and many wonderful suggestions for where to eat, wonderful museums, etc.
The apartment itself is absolutely beautiful - you are staying in the cellar of a 1200 year old convent. It is beautifully decorated and very well laid out. The renovation was done with a careful eye to keeping architectural details present, like the shape of the roof, some exposed brick. But it was modernized with the utmost comfort in mind. It is right over the Ponte Vechio, and it's location makes it very easy to go back and rest, if you wish to do so between touring museums, markets, and palaces. If Florence were not such an amazing city, we would have happily stayed in the apartment the whole time! There is plenty of light, good wifi, and very comfy beds. Plus, it is cleaned meticulously.
Our only hiccup was with the hot water heater - there was plenty of hot water but it would run out unless we turned the water off completely and back on again. It was a minor nuisance and I've no doubt Paolo fixed it!
I told Paolo that he almost had a squatter, because I had a hard time convincing my sister to leave!
We had a lovely time in Firenze and found Paolo to be extremely helpful when we arrived. His flat was in a superb location, less than a couple of minutes to the Ponte Vecchio. The flat itself was really charming and I'd highly recommend to any couples looking to spend a few days sightseeing in Florence - wish we were still there!
We loved this place so much that we almost didn't want to go out! Excellent location, comfortable and obviously kept with care. It was great to have such a quiet place to come back to after being out and about. If we were ever to make it back to Florence, we'd definitely stay here again. Paolo made us feel welcome and provided excellent information and recommendations.
What a great stay we had in Paolo's flat. It's such a gorgeous little place and was perfect for our two night stay exploring Florence. Paolo gave us great recommendations for walks around the city and some local restaurants, Bordino's was delizioso! The location is great, just a short walk down the lane and your are at the Ponte Vecchio, so easy to walk around the city. Can't forget the gelato recommendation at Santa Trinita, delish!!
The apartment is very central and very clean. Paolo is a great host and will do anything he can to make your stay enjoyable. Grazie Mille Paolo!!
My friends and I stayed in Paolo's apartment for two nights and loved it. The apartment is the perfect size for three people and the location couldn't be better. Paolo was a very great host; he gave us a ton of information about Florence and the neighborhood. He provided us with some maps and wonderful dinne recommendations (we especially loved trattoria di bordino down the street).

My name is Paolo and I'm a full time Airbnber! I like to take care of my guests, by providing them with maps, suggestions and whatever else needed. I'm also very happy to come and pick you up at the station.
I speak Italian and English, so foreign tourists are more than welcome.
