  • Perfect location for exploring the city. And Paolo, the host, is really helpful and friendly.

  • Wonderful and helpful host. Paolo and his wife were most accommodating. The location of this apartment was perfect for being able to see major sights in Florence. Grocery store and cafes right around the corner were a plus. Being in a former convent was charming. Only negative is that the apartment is a little on the damp side which would bother anyone with joint problems. The dehumidifier helps. On the other hand, the apartment stays cool in even the hottest weather.

  • My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Paolo's apartment in Florence in the middle of October. Paulo was very informative and responsive to any questions. He also provided us a wide array of tourist guides for our use during our visit. As first time visitors to Florence, we found the apartment's central location ideal for getting to all of the main attractions by foot. The apartment was clean, the WiFi was fast and worked well, and the apartment was beautiful, a renovated 800-year-old convent with all working, new amenities. A few things to note is that there is not an oven in the kitchen, only microwave and stove. Also the hot water in the shower was not consistent. It would switch from cold to hot every couple of minutes. But these were only a small price to pay for such a beautiful place to stay!

The apartment is nice, in very good condition and in a superb location, next to The Ponte Vecchio and in a very quite street. Paolo was very friendly, he gave us useful information about the area and Florence.

  • What a beautiful apartment! Paolo met us at the apartment as we had discussed our arrival time in advance. You can tell that he really loves what he does, as he has GREAT attention to detail. There is a lovely book that he has put together with all kinds of information about the apartment and the neighborhood. My mom was very impressed that he made some reading recommendations for her from the collection of informative books in the apartment. And we just loved the history of the property. The location is also really great... just around the corner from the Ponte Vecchio!

There were only two issues: the dampness of a basement apartment, which he runs a dehumidifier to combat and has a fan to circulate the air, and the noise from the entryway of the building. One of the two windows in the apartment faces into the hallway, and people passing by woke us up once in awhile. If you're a light sleeper, I recommend bringing a pair of ear plugs.

  • We loved this apartment just over the Ponte Vecchio and minutes from all the major attractions in Florence. We could easily walk to all the sights, and still return to put our feet up before going out in the evening.
The apartment was clean, attractively decorated, and in an ancient but tastefully renovated former Abbey which added to the experience of visiting an ancient city. The internet worked great. The bed was comfortable. Water pressure was low but that is to be expected in the ancient part of Florence.
Paolo was a gracious host and available immediately when we needed him. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

  • Soon after we booked, Paolo made contact and then re-initiated contact just before we we were due to stay. Paolo was happy to meet us at the station, but since we caught a taxi he met us at the apartment. Our plane was late and Paolo waited some two hours for us and still gave us a friendly welcome and spent time with us to show us the apartment and tell us about the area. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and clean and extremely well positioned, near all major tourist sites, outstanding restaurants, a good supermarket and many shops. The apartment is so convenient that we often just slipped back to the apartment to have a light meal, have a rest or just drop off some shopping. We can highly recommend staying at Paolo's apartment. Thank you so much Paolo.

  • Two friends and I stayed at one of Paolo's places during our three day jaunt to Florence and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. Paolo was amazing - he waited an extra hour for us as we were delayed in meeting him and when we arrived he took the time to give us recommendations for sights and places to eat. He recommended Trattoria Bordino, which is near the apartment and very delicious! So good, we went back both nights for dinner! The apartment was very clean, stocked with the necessities and extremely close to Ponte Vecchio, giving you access to all of the sights of Florence. I highly recommend Paolo's apartment for your stay in the amazing Florence!

  • Paolo's flat is located in a wonderful spot; close to everything we wanted to visit on our trip to Florence. The kitchen, bathroom, and dining are small while the bedroom provides more space. The kitchen nook is tiny but we were not planning on cooking while there. Paolo is very prompt so be sure not to be late to meet him (or have a phone you can use; ours didn't work in Italy). We almost missed him because our train was running about 30 minutes late. But he recognized us looking for the place and hopped off his scooter to greet us, show us around the flat, and tell us some of his favorite spots. He provided a great little map of the area that we used and really appreciated. I did have a problem with my allergies in the space; something to consider if you also have to check in about pets and dust/mold as I do.
