---The Town of Woodstock has ordered us not to share this tipi. So we purchased a 23 acrel parcel with a small lake just 8 miles from this one. So we have moved this Sioux tipi to our lake. If you find it from here, tell us when you inquire, and we will discount the relocated lakefront Sioux tipi rate by 10 percent for you.

The space
THE TOWN HAS PROHIBITED US FROM SHARING THIS TIPI BUT WE HAVE AN IDENTICAL ONE NEARBY THAT HAS NOT BEEN OUTLAWED !!
Since so many guests loved staying in our Sioux tipi,, we did not want to take the opportunity away. We had more than 300 reviews when the town, in their wisdom, decided to prohibit us from sharing our tipi. We purchased a 20-acre parcel of forested land just outside the boundaries of Woodstock. The land has its own 1-1/2 acre lake entirely within its bounds. It's a very private spot.

What we refer to as "The Lake Tipi" has some niceties we don't have in Woodstock. There, there's a "Tipi Room." That is a small one room building with hot and cold running water***, a sink, toilet, and outdoor shower. The Tipi Room is about 75 feet from the tipi. The Tipi Room also has a small fridge and a microwave oven. The lake has a floating dock to fish or swim from, plus there is a canoe for guests' use.

***Note: Water in the Tipi Room at the lake tipi is only turned on mid-April through October. During the cold months, the water system must be turned off and drained or it would freeze and be damaged. All year round, however, there is a separate drilled well with water available at the well head, from a solar powered water pump.
