About this listing
In the heart of Rome, just next to palatine, circus maximum and caracalla's therms, but even very close to Testaccio's nightlife.
I rent rooms with private bathroom and independent entrance.
The place is quiet, central, very well connected by buses and tube (line B).
The room is situated at the first floor, I live downstairs, at the ground floor; the entrance is private, from the terrace. The terrace is connected to the exit by a spiral staircase, the one you can see in the pictures! I can say proudly that it's a quite "unique" place, but also, it is not always maximum comfort, so I can suggest it for sporty persons!
The room is nice, little and clean with TV, air conditioning, heating, and a confortable bed!
The bathroom is located just outside the room, you have to make a step into the common space to get inside it!
The common area is provided with a fridge and a boiler. There are also some tables and stools were you can have a brake drinking a nice tea when you wish it, and why not, meeting the other guests! But sorry, no kitchen..
You can consult some Rome guides and a tips book that has been written by the persons who has been here before you!
We will accord on the time of check in because I work and I'm not at home all day!
Caterina is lovely, and very helpful, and has lots of information about the area. The accommodation is very basic and comfortable. Location is great. I think it's worth getting some knowledge of the buses. Google maps is great for telling you what bus to catch and where it goes.
assolutamente consigliato, ottima posizione, massima disponibilità e gentilezza di Caterina!
The place is located in quiet and nice area about 15 minuets walk to attractive spots in Rome. its good value for money and exactly as shown on the photos. I loved the patio which was lovely place to have relaxing moments before going to sleep.
its a challenge to bring the suitcase on the spiral ladder and you have to be really fit to get your bag up.
i didn't have the chance to see caterina but spoke to her over the phone on my arrival.
over all its a lovely place and good value for money.
Staying at Caterina's was a highlight of my time at Rome both because the privacy/comfort and the environment/neighborhood. Had a great conversation with my neighbor beneath the stars on the open patio, and enjoyed walking everywhere from the cabal location. Can't say enough good things about the hospitality. I highly recommend this Airbnb!
Convenient location in a quiet neighborhood, small but comfortable room. 20 min walk to the Colloseum (hint: use the Palatino entrance to avoid queues) and Trastavere with great restaurants. Note that the flat is accessed via a small spiral staircase that can be tricky with big bags. Everything went smoothly except for a minor problem with the A/C and hot water, but Caterina was able to resolve it quickly even though she was out of town. Overall, a great choice for a solo traveler.
Such a gracious hostess! Catarina gave me good directions to her home, was there to greet me and showed me my "home" for the next 3 nights. As a single female traveler, it's comforting to know I chose the perfect hostess to stay with.

About the Host, Caterina
"Curious" is probably the first adjective for my personality!
I like travelling and meeting different people!
I've traveled in many places untill now, I lived in San Diego for 3 months and this has been a wonderful experience! I don't have a favourite destination, every place where I have been had its special charm!
Hosting foreign persons is a very interesting occasion for "traveling" even when I work!
