This is the best way to see NYC!
This lovely apartment with garden access is located just three blocks from Prospect Park, in beautiful Park Slope, Brooklyn which was recently voted "the best neighborhood in NYC" by New York Magazine.
The apartment features an open plan living room / kitchen, full bath and two "railroad" style bedrooms in the back. The first has a twin bed and the second a full-size bed overlooking the garden. The place is the perfect weekend retreat for a couple or small family.
There is WiFi, and computer access with Netflix and Hulu Plus so you can stream movies and your favorite TV shows. There are also lots of CDs and books to keep you busy after trekking all over the city.
We're on a small tree-lined street a half block away from the main shopping strip. There are tons of great restaurants and bars within a three block radius (I’m happy to give you a list of our favorites) and the park is host to Celebrate Brooklyn an outdoor festival with movies, music and dance performances from June – August. We’re also really close to the F, G, R, and M trains, making trips into Manhattan easy.
If the calendar says unavailable don't be discouraged. We just might use you as an excuse to get out of town! Send me a message and we can discuss dates and rates to suit your needs.
Kerrie was very warm and welcoming. She went out of her way to offer accommodations to suit our small family's needs. The place is as described with a French bohemian vibe. The coffee, wine, and chocolate that she left for us were also big hits.
Kerrie is a wonderful host and very generous with her space. We have two young children and her apartment was the perfect respite from the busy city. Our daughter loved playing with her sons toys and it gave us some down time during our NY trip. Perfectly balanced vacation- way better than being stuck in a hotel room all together! I would highly recommend Kerrie's apartment to anyone with or without kids looking for a great place to stay in Park Slope. Great visit. Thanks Kerrie!
Kerries appartment is very clean and cosy. It is located in a nice and quiet area in Brooklyn. The atmosphere is warm with wooden floor, well equiped kitchen with big fridge. From your bed you can see trees and the sky through a large window. Restaurants, coffee-shops and everything you need to buy is qiute close. Also if you want to walk or go for jogging the Prospect Park is nearby. Kerrie is a wonderful an reliable host.
We had a lovely stay at Kerrie's park slope apt. We had a chance to meet her and she was super nice and informative. The apartment was cozy and clean and she even offered us wine! The neighborhood was great; close to a variety of restaurants, subway, and prospect park for a nice little run! Great spot!
Kerrie was warm and welcoming. She left us a bowl of fruit, coffee and wonderful cookies. The neighborhood was great and there were lots of shops and restaurants from which to choose as well as a beautiful park just a couple of blocks away.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Kerrie's home. Located on one of the most charming streets in Park Slope, her place was cozy and sparkling clean and tidy. She provided things for us such as coffee, wine, clementines and ice cream. We also really appreciated that it was kid-friendly, and our girls loved playing with her son's toys and scampering around in the little backyard. Kerrie was available for advice, dining suggestions, and even school information since we are planning to move our family there soon. Could not have expected more from a hostess and her lovely home.
Kerrie has a beautiful house in a lovely neighborhood. It was exactly as good as the pictures make it look, and I cannot recommend it enough.
I wouldn't even consider staying in a hotel any time I come to NYC.
The area itself is quiet and leafy, with lots of really great cafes, bars and smaller shops. It is easy walking distance to Prospect Park and the botanical gardens, which is a huge plus.
You are also close to the more Downtown Brooklyn and just a few blocks from the Subway stations to take you into Manhattan - although with so much going on in the area around Park Slope, there's no need!
We had easy and safe free street parking right outside the door, and it did not appear to be a fluke that we got a space - there were many on this street, and ones nearby.

I'm a public media reporter/producer from NYC. I started hosting visitors in my place a few months ago and love how it gives me a chance to meet interesting people from all over the world. It also gives me the ability to travel a bit myself again!
