The Space

This is the best way to see NYC!

This lovely apartment with garden access is located just three blocks from Prospect Park, in beautiful Park Slope, Brooklyn which was recently voted "the best neighborhood in NYC" by New York Magazine.

The apartment features an open plan living room / kitchen, full bath and two "railroad" style bedrooms in the back. The first has a twin bed and the second a full-size bed overlooking the garden. The place is the perfect weekend retreat for a couple or small family.

There is WiFi, and computer access with Netflix and Hulu Plus so you can stream movies and your favorite TV shows. There are also lots of CDs and books to keep you busy after trekking all over the city.

We're on a small tree-lined street a half block away from the main shopping strip. There are tons of great restaurants and bars within a three block radius (I’m happy to give you a list of our favorites) and the park is host to Celebrate Brooklyn an outdoor festival with movies, music and dance performances from June – August. We’re also really close to the F, G, R, and M trains, making trips into Manhattan easy.

If the calendar says unavailable don't be discouraged. We just might use you as an excuse to get out of town! Send me a message and we can discuss dates and rates to suit your needs.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Kerrie's home. The garden is a lovely, quiet place to sit and drink your morning coffee. The neighborhood is fun and felt very safe, with very easy access to Prospect Park. The subway was easily accessible, making trips to Manhattan and JFK convenient. Kerrie is a warm, accommodating host. We would definitely stay here again if available when we return to New York.

  • My husband and I arrived in Brooklyn for a wedding and this was our first visit here. Kerrie's place was everything we had hoped for. We loved the neighborhood and the comfortable feeling of staying in her home. Kerrie had warm bread and flowers waiting for us!! And it was easy to connect with her when we arrived.
The weather was warm so we really enjoyed the garden also. We will be coming back to Brooklyn and very much appreciated her generosity and welcome.

  • First of all, the location of this apartment is ideal! The Park Slope neighborhood is so fun to explore and Kerrie's place is steps away from the main street and less than a 10 minute walk from the amazing Prospect Park! Great restaurants and shops and the neighborhood seemed incredibly safe. Kerrie's apartment is very cute and ideal for a couple or a couple traveling with a child. The apartment was very clean and had a lot of personal warmth. The bed was a bit cozy, so it might not be idea for 3 adults traveling together (unless you like to snuggle!). The backyard was a huge added bonuses and we enjoyed our morning coffee and nightly wine out in the garden. There are a few neighborhood cats that lounge in the backyard, but they didn't bother us (just something to be aware of if you have allergies). Communication with Kerrie went very well and and smooth.

  • The apartment is in a great neighborhood and very safe. It is bright and airy and comfortable. You can walk to some great markets, stores and lots of restaurants. Even walking late at night I felt very safe. Kerrie left some fresh baked bread for us on arrival. Unfortunately, we did not get to eat much of it.

  • Great Space, really great host! Perfect neighborhood for my visit, just a few blocks from friends. Kerrie met me later as my flight was delayed and even baked us some bread! Would definitely recommend the Park Slope apartment.

  • Kerrie is absolutely lovely and so is here home. We enjoyed it tremendously and loved the family friendly neighborhood. When we go to Park Slope again, I will most definitely be checking to see if Kerrie's place is available again.

  • This was the first time we used AirBnB and had a great experience with it. Our host Kerrie was very easy to communicate with. She had responded to our inquiry and follow up questions within hours. She even checked in with us to see if we needed anything. We had such a smooth, nice experience.

  • My boyfriend and I had the greatest time at Kerrie's beautiful place in Park Slope! Her home is extremely spacious, very clean and super accommodating. Kerrie is the most gracious host and it was a huge pleasure to meet her. I couldn't recommend her place more, which is in one of the loveliest neighborhoods in Brooklyn. We'll definitely be back when we visit Park Slope again. Thanks so much for having us Kerrie!

I'm a public media reporter/producer from NYC. I started hosting visitors in my place a few months ago and love how it gives me a chance to meet interesting people from all over the world. It also gives me the ability to travel a bit myself again!
