Marissa was a wonderful host. I stayed for a month in this beautiful room and felt very well taken care of the entire time. She was always there to help with anything I needed, wether it was to install air-conditioning or just to chat about life and drink san pellegrino soda. Marissa never encroached on my personal space but made a serious effort to get to know me and even to support me by trying to make it out to one of my shows (I am a dancer). I highly recommend staying here. If you do, I highly recommend getting to know the generous Marissa.
Marissa was the best host I've ever had. She took the time to meet me at the apt., to explain the keys, tell me how to get around the neighborhood, and was even eager to help with my job search. She also helped me arrange a later checkout on the day that I needed to check out. I could not have felt more at home in this apt, and it i right next to Franklin Ave., which is full of restaurants, cafes, and bars, and a subway stop!
Had a great time!
Chris and Marissa (I mostly interacted with Marissa) were in constant communication before and during my stay. The apartment was clean, cozy and well-stocked. The location was very easy to get to by subway.
Finally, NYC is a big, 24h city and people like using their car horns at all hours of the night so bringing earplugs isn't a bad idea.
This was our best air bnb experience, Marissa and Chris are excellent hosts who are happy to go the extra mile to ensure you have a pleasant and comfortable stay !
Our stay in the studio was fantastic! Marissa greeted us with all instructions for entry and keys. She made us feel right at home and showed us where to safely lock our bicycles. Marissa told us exactly how to get to the subway station that we needed to access to get to the Bike Expo and the bike tour. Her directions and suggestions were perfect. She even had a subway map available for our use. She gave us tips on where to park to avoid street cleaning. Check in and check out were seamless. This place was exactly what we were looking for. I would highly recommend the Cute Skylit Studio for anyone looking for a clean and cozy place to stay while visiting NYC. :)
As usual, we were greeted as old friends by our host. Marissa is welcoming and helpful. This is our 3rd stay at the studio apartment and it will be our "go to" choice for whenever we visit New York in the future. The apartment is as described on the website. It is comfortable, quiet and convenient. Chris & Marissa are open and responsive to suggestions and have made many improvements since our first stay that have made it even more comfortable. You really can't go wrong staying here if you're looking for a home base to explore Manhattan and Brooklyn!!

About the Host, Chris
Transplanted to NYC many years ago, live a fairly laid back lifestyle. I love the city, though I have traveled all over the world (Africa, Europe, Caribbean,South America, Canada, Hong Kong, etc.) and met a ton of great and interesting people. I speak un pocito Espanol, a very tiny amount of French, a very few words of Russian and five or six German words.
I have hosted guests from many different countries. I love hosting and making visitors and guests feel comfortable and at-home. Whatever you need, just ask and I'll make my very best effort to say yes to you
