The HackerHome Network
Whether you're new to the Valley, bored with your current housing or need a transient place... I would like to help. When you reserve with me, you'll have instant friends and be part of a network of 11 homes in the Bay Area.
The open dining and living area is setup to have a comfortable place to work or relax. There's a separate communal work area with multiple desks.
3 bedrooms - 1 private and 2 shared rooms
2 full bathrooms
All utilities are included and the WIFI is fast!
Clean linens/bedding are provided + a fresh towel.
Why would someone say light cooking? Home prepped meals really warms up the house and it's encouraged.
Interaction with Guests
It's a house full of people & different schedules. So please use ear plugs if necessary. If you're a light sleeper or can't sleep on a single mattress, this may not be the right place for you.
We are a very communal/respectful group and strive to provide space for everyone to work and hangout. Remember that work, musical instruments and books take precedence over the television.
Daly City is a location that fits the budget and only an 8 minute walk to Bart! It only takes 20 minutes to downtown San Francisco.
Other Things to Note
More than one suitcase? Consult with me prior to making your reservation.
Respectful Housing for Women
Females in a separate room. If you'd like to stay in the girls' room, please check with me on availability before reserving. If you don't have a preference, then just make your reservation.
The Airbnb cleaning fee is to make sure you have a clean bed upon arrival and not to clean up after you. All spaces are shared, so please be mindful of picking up after yourself. If you're a longer term guest, remember to use one bath towel and wash it with your own load of laundry.
Best Way to Reach Me
1. Complete your Airbnb profile with an ID/Passport and connect your social networks.
2. One line about your purpose of visit.
3. Let me know your duration of stay and estimated time of arrival on your check in date.
Clean your dishes right away
Smoke only in the backyard
If you must invite an associate/friend over, consult with me first
Be conscientious of morning bathroom usage
Do not snooze your alarm
Use earphones, not speakers - unless it's a family event
We Prefer That You
be respectful of the space and to fellow housemates
clean up after yourself by making your bed and washing your dishes
have an optimistic outlook and laugh a lot =D
The first thing I saw when I arrived was a card written to me by Vic on a neatly made bed! This extra touch was AWESOME.
Vic is a great person, reliable and always available. HackerHouse is a great place to stay, clean, calm, confortable and full of comodities (TV with chromecast, free washing machine with dryer, free food, wifi... everything you need). For some reason you always meet good people in there. Active community always active with social events where hackerhouse host is invited.
Don't miss it!
Vic is pretty awesome. Super accommodating and friendly. He makes you feel welcome and like family during your stay. I would definitely return if I'm back out in the Bay Area.
I really enjoyed my experience! Vic was very efficient with his responses. Very helpful from the time I booked to the time I arrived. He assisted with directions and was always a text away! Arrival was very easy and self explanatory to the house, subway BART is walking distance (quiet and safe neighbourhood). The house is as advertised on the pictures. Vic is great host: from organizing the networking events, to ensuring house is stalked with food! The guys ( housemates) were friendly as well. Cheers to the next trip and acccomodation Vic!
I just loved the Hackershome experience. Its a good concept in bay area that Vic has introduced. He goes out of his way with free food and free passes to various events for guests to stay comfortable. A definite value for money and airbnb experience!
Vic definitely made himself available to any questions via messaging/text/phone/etc. I got responses from him promptly and everything went smoothly!
Vic is great person, always trying to help and check if everything is all right. He's always organizing some dinners and is really funny.
House is close to the BART station and you can get to San Francisco in 20-30min by BART. Neighborhood is fine.
